Does anyone recognize this O gauge locomotive or at least what the prototype is? I am terrible at identifying locomotives.

Garry I hate thieves! I almost never use the word hate but when it comes to thieves it just how I feel. Now I am going to be suspicious of every deal I see on eBay that looks to good to be true. I would hate to think I bought stolen goods. Is there a list of what was stolen?

I just read the letter. I don't do Lionel myself but it still infuriates me! I'm sure eBay security people have been notified. Sure hope they had photos of the stolen trains, but they probably figured they'd be safe inside a locked warehouse.

I wonder how the slimeball(s) knew exactly where to cut without setting off an alarm?

I'm willing to bet there will be alarms with motion sensors and closed circuit cameras in place before the week is out.
I hope the store was insured against theft, thousands of dollars of lost merchandise is tough to swallow for a small business.

NCE help needed for a railroad friend:
He had two of his diesels consisted together and functioning properly. He then wanted to turn one of the units around so as to be able with a cab forward in either direction.

When he attempted this he ran into the problem that the two loco's wanted to run in opposite directions.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

Easiest to just kill that consist and do another with the locos facing the way he wants. When running tail to tail, as part of the setup process, you get asked which direction for rear loco. You press the reverse button and then the enter button and it will then run in the same direction as the lead loco, which ever way it is going.

Alternatively, he can call up (select) the rear loco's address, even while it's still in the original consist, press prog/esc to go to programming on the main (POM) and change it's direction from there. Press prog/esc again to return to normal ops.

Say Toot,
Thanks, that is appreciated, I told Joe the info came from a forum member from Australia. He isn't very computer savy and I'm even less so about DCC and in this case NCE.

Thanks again

Good morning my dear friends....Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning everybody!

49 with cloudy skies in southeast Baltimore, the high may hit 70 today if the sun can get through.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY!

Good Morning--

We had drizzle all day yesterday, washed away a little of the dirt. This morning we have 20 and the sun is shining bright.

Really something about that Bowser breakin! I suppose in a while that stuff will be on ebay, wonder if there is any way of tracking it?

Unfortunately LASM I don't believe there is any way of tracking them. They don't have individual serial numbers, but they should, maybe now they will. I won't be buying any locomotives on eBay any time soon. Buying stolen goods is just as bad as stealing them.

Good Morning Lads, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

48° and overcast. Going to 60°, then becoming windy and turning colder. Thursday night's forecast calls for Snow:eek:.

Started cleaning up my work area yesterday, tossed a bunch of "useless(?)" stuff. Anything that didn't pass the what's this for(?), what's this from (?), what is it(?). test.
Filled a kitchen bag. This is going to be a bit time consuming though, as I group and repackage components for various "future" projects. The key is to label things by project, so I remember what I had in mind when I bought the stuff.

I uncovered a "first issue" Roundhouse PS2 - two bay - Covered Hopper, dating back to the 1960s - original price $2.50, with the white metal under frame and plastic body, lettered for the Union Pacific. Looks pretty good, although it will get metal wheels and new Kadee #148s sometime today. This car couls also become a candidate for a summer weathering project. Wonder what other hidden treasures will be uncovered????

Have a great day!

Louis-- unfortunately I think ebay is a convenient way to get rid of stolen merchandise.

WJLI--Wonder if you could put up a picture of the two bay covered hopper?
