Morning all. Gues the weather guessers finally got it right. Starting off at 9 degrees and four to five inches of snow and still coming down.

If you throw enough crap against the wall, some if it is bound to stick...

One of the prolems is that we have dachshunds and with their short legs, I have to plow so the can go out and pee. For some reason they don't like squatting in the snow. Life is rough. ;););)

Good evening. It is cloudy and 50. Tonight it is supposed tog et down to 31, then only up to 34 tomorrow.

Louis, I was ten years old when I got that Tyco engine in a set. I had gotten a job washing school buses on weekends, and after a couple of months, I had saved enough to get the set. It was a long time before I bought another train, because I expected whatever I got to go pffft.

That is terrible! I was 11 when I got my first train set. I will never forget how excited I was to get it set up and running. I would have been heart broken if it had broken down so soon.

Good morning everybody!

27 with partly cloudy skies in southeast Baltimore.

I slept late today! I did not wake up until 4am, a very unusual thing for me. Being late has thrown off my entire routine. I am finally getting back on track.

Good Morning--It is +19 and snowing. It will finally warm up above freezing this weekend so we will have the slushy mess.

Good morning folks.

We are in a blizzard warning right now. It's funny how many grown adults don't know the definition of a blizzard. They're wondering why we're in a warning with only three inches of snow predicted. Well, it's because we're going to have 45mph gusts to go along with it!

I have the day off so I'm planning on a whole lot of nothing today. I'll drink coffee, play with trains, eat lunch, play with trains, drink beer, watch a movie! Sounds like the perfect winter day.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Have a good day.

Garry--I forgot about the merger taking place in 1970, wonder how and if they repainted or patched---

I did the research and 5671 is a BN number, the NP number was 2805; it was retired in June 1981. Remembering you are a CB&Q man, I see 5665 was 577 and they retired her in Nov, 81.

The Chevy (or Buick) Station wagon is the same green as our 1972, and it looks like it has been around the block.

They were both listed as GE U28C but I notice a lot of subtle differences, windshields, headlights..[/QUOTE

lasm ... I was not sure about the former NP loco. I would have guessed it was a U25C.

....................

Bill T ..... Your coffee hits the spot this morning. Thanks.

Weather? Blizzards? Sub zero temperatures? .......... Hey! Spring is only about 3 weeks away !

Sounds like a proper plan to me!! Guess I'll go get some more beer before too long. I've already fixed up some extra bracing on the flood loader I got put together. Since I don't have a work-bench, my layout table is my work-bench so I can't run any trains until it's all done setting up.
It's still drizzly out there right now so I'll wait a while before I head out.

Garry-- I need to keep better track of the research sites. everytime I go to find out about the loco's I spend a good half hour clicking different sites until I fine one where they have a complete data base.

I should make a data base of the data bases.

I am just throwing this out there; Since January 1st 2013 I have sold 15 items on eBay for a total sales of $697.60 and as of today I have made a grand total of $2.84 profit, better then a loss! The shippers have made $107.05, PayPal made $20.93 and eBay has made $68.48 eBay is defiantly a buyers market, but I am glad to have a place to sell my extra things.

Loius--
Funny you should mention that, ebay just withdrew $10.80 from my account, and from what I can put together it is seller charges. I thought they took off these at the point of sale.

Any ideas?

Under "My eBay Summary" click on account, from there you can see your invoices with itemized lists of charges.

PayPal fees will not be listed because it does come right off the top.

I found that I was paid $81.95 and ebay charged me 10.50 in fees, and that was billed yesterday. I sure don't remember paying that amount in the past.

I see they charged me 10% on the listing if it was not during a free list period and also a percentage on the postage I bought through ebay regardless of the free listing offer.

I guess I will only sell stuff when they have the free listing offer from now on...

Hi all, we had sleet here for a while just now it's just cloudy, temp hovering ~32*F. Supposed to be starting up again tonight as rain with temps ~35, hope it doesn't freeze on the pavement.

Just got back from seeing the doc about my shakes. He assured me it is NOT Parkinsons [my primary fear], its just another annoying little sign that I'm getting old. It comes and goes, directly related to my stress level - and I've had plenty of that as of late!

Ken that is great news, thanks for the update! Hmmm my response sounds kind of bad, but you know what I mean, getting old is natural.

My way of dealing with stress has always been the same "Do your best, let God take care of the rest" works on most things, but not so much for family related stress.

Play with your trains for 2 hours and call me in the morning ;)
