Reset the engine to factory default. Why was it necessary to not use F8?

Because I don't need to hear it all the time. F8 shuts is down. At least on my stuff.
It's not a problem with the engine. It's my CAB I think that is f....ed up.

Good morning everybody!

32 with light snow falling in southeast Baltimore with about an inch already on the ground.

I hope everyone down south is safe in this winter storm and warm, that sounds strange.

BigE before jumping to conclusions I would follow King Toot's advice and if that should fail, I seriously doubt it would but should it fail give NCE a call. Don't worry, you will solve this problem just like you have all the others.

Good morning all. 13 degrees and light snow out here in the Rockies this morning. Trying to catch up at work today and see what went on while I was gone. Back to the daily grind.

Good morning. It's 29 and snowing.
I'm having a great time, be glad you're not here.
Oh, and my employer thinks "only travel if it is an emergency" means "drive 25 miles to work on somebody's travel trailer". As soon as I shovel my driveway, I'm off to work.

Eric, set CV63 to 0. that will set all sounds to off. When you want it to make noise, set cv63 to something more than 0.

I got the end of my driveway almost shoveled out, and the city came by, and plowed it back shut... Sigh...

Good morning. 25°, overcast with snow flurries. Looks like this one is going to pass to our South. For once, we catch a break. Going down to the single digits the next three nights or so.

Terry, every day was an emergency on Conrail, so I got quite used to 30 mile + trips in all sort of weather and traffic. At one point I leased a FWD Chevy Blazer to cope with the winter weather. The whole time I had the vehicle, we had mild snowless winters. A week after I turned it in for a Lumina LTZ, we had a whopper of a snow storm.

Did anyone get a BLI H10 with the Eastern tender? MB Klein sold out overnight. I was going to get one, until BLI announced an L1 2-8-2. Suddenly, I didn't need a second 2-8-0.

Have a great day.

I was wondering if someone would notice.[Quote, Montanan]

Don't know about Australia, but there were several imported into NZ by the local Austin dealership. IIRC they were badged as Austin's for that market. Aussie missed out on many "oddities", because it had it's own manufacturing plants. In the case of Austin, it was known as British Leyland and as they produced their own versions of the British cars with styling differences, the importation of finished cars was heavily restricted.

NZ only had assembly plants where cars etc came in in CKD (completely knocked down) form and were put together, with some local content. I worked for 6 years in the Morris plant, the other main popular car brand in the BMC (British Motor Corporation) line up. Most assemblers (other makes as well) would do variations on the appearance, restricted to different grilles and trim levels or minor engine mods in order to give their dealers more models/brands in their inventory.

The Rootes Group (later owned by Chrysler) who produced the Hillman/Humber cars only had the 4 cyl "Minx" and "Super Minx" in the British Hillman range, so the NZ builder did a "Humber" and "Humber Vogue". Ford did it similarly with the mid 60's Cortina 4cyl, combining the British "GT" higher performance version with the "Executive" better trim model to add the "Executive GLE" (limited edition), which of course, now makes them highly collectible in their home market.

Good morning, it is -14 and sunny. Supposed to get up into the 20's this weekend.

Gradually getting ready for the construction season at my day job. Otherwise, just watching the trains go by...

Morning Garry, Happy to hear that your Doctor gave you a good report. Is he affiliated with Vandy?

Your comment is appreciated.... Yes, the doctor is at Vandy... I have a lot of praise for Vanderbilt Heart Clinic.

Carey ... Congratulations to your son and his soon-to-be wife. Evidently you and your wife are very pleased.

Montanan .... Your layout photos look fabulous.

Below is a photo I took last evening looking under our deck. (My model railroad layout was several steps behind me as I took the picture.)

Good morning folks.

Back to sunny and cold. Man am I happy that I'm not cleaning cars off today after the snow!

Work is going well so far. I've been one of the top salespeople or THE top sales person since I started selling last Friday! Some of it is being in the right place at the right time. It also has to do with needing the money. Most of the salespeople are working there for something to do. Not me, I'm there to make money! I've been there two and a half weeks started with zero furniture sales experience. However, having sold high end clothing for sixteen years and having a general sense of style has helped me pick it up pretty quickly. Enough of tooting my own horn, I'm just excited to have found a home.

I opened a new building kit yesterday. It's one of the newer Merchant's Row kits. I forgot that these kits come with molded in windows and details. It's going to be a pain in the but painting it but it will give me quite a bit of modeling hours for not much money. It'll be on the far side of a street, against the backdrop so I'm planning on using the rear pieces somewhere else on the layout.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning All,

Just got done raking 8 lawn bags of oak leaves from the side yard. After I raked it MOH came out and helped bag them. I am trying to decide if I want to go out after lunch and do the other side yard. When I mentioned it to MOH I just got the "wife look".

Lasm- Thank you. I really like the safety first decal I put on the TT bridge.

Montanan- Glad you made it home safe. I don't know much about cars but those are great modeling scenes.

Carey- Congrats on your sons wedding.

WJLI26- I did not get the second run. I have the first run and a USRA Consolidation Sound Spectrum that Jon (friend) is converting to a Pennsy H class so I will have 2. I did order the L1. I have wanted one for several years.

Garry- Beautiful Sunset.

Corey- I am glad your job is working out for you.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Carey- Congrats on the new daughter-in-law joining the family this weekend.

After the ceremony, you may be able to check out a new LHS.

Our 1.1 inch of snow is already gone, so your weekend should not be ruined by the weather.

Thank you Louis!! I just called and they are sending me a new keypad membrane to replace it.
We joke about how my #8 missing turns out a number used in all my engines except for one.
Turns out the guy I talked to used to live in these parts.
We had some great laughs and I was able to update him on the new Braves stadium and the upcoming NASCAR race this weekend.
He is certainly someone I would be happy to invite over for a beer - or several.
I don't get the opportunity to talk to such pleasant people that often.

In the mean time I'm not going to reassign any new numbers since he's sending the keyboard part.
I'll just run engine 2021 for now. I just need to remember I renumbered 2380 to 2370.
8861 is just going to have sit this one out for a while.
It's yet another aggravation I'll get past.

The snow continues to melt here. Mid 30s and gloomy right now.
I went out for some biscuits and gravy this morning around 0530 and everything in sight was closed.
About a half-mile away I could see a Waffle House with lights on so I ambled on over for a huge plate of steak and eggs and hashbrowns. I didn't really want to spend that much but dam if I'm walking a few miles and not going to eat something good. I could easily put down another helping.
Wouldn't have been the first time I've eaten 2 breakfast plates back to back.
Maybe I should have gotten a waffle for desert. My belly is growling at me now.

One more shift before the weekend....and still trying to figure out this with Gimp 2! lol!

Nice looking old timer photo; I often wonder the occasion of these shots. It was never easy to set the camera up way back then...

It looks to be a decent size train and the loco is spic and span (polished even), the crew is all posed, so yes, a special train. Presidential maybe.
