Here is my latest for a long pull:

It seems to have gone well.
You all with have to excuse my accent. I was born in deep south Illinois and have lived in the deep south since '83 with 11 of those years being in the western NC Appalachian mountains.

Too bad youtube can't brighten up the walls. They are egg-shell white and clean and don't look grungy like the video makes it out.

Oh!! What is that I hear in the background? CSX blowing through about 2 miles away.
Kind of wish I lived by a railroad sometimes.
Then again, maybe not depending on time of day.

Tomorrow I think I am going to get a haircut and either tomorrow or Thursday I am going to start on my F&C Resin kit of a PRR FM flat car with 5 DD1 containers.

I did hair cut tonight. About 4" came off. Guess it's a good thing I have 4" of hair to spare. (no pun intended). I cut my own hair. Don't matter. Got no one to impress these.

I watched all your videos on YouTube BigE, glad to see you battled through your derailments and uncouplings and won!

29 and calm here. I'm going to ease up to the local eatery for some sausage biscuits and gravy.
Maybe a double dose.
At $1.75 a batch I can't go wrong. Except for the walking it's mighty cheap and easy.

Yay Louis! I have a fan! :-)
Unfortunately I have become painfully very good at finding track and deck problems and figuring out ways to fix them.
If this layout would have been engineered and/or planned instead of thrown together like I did, things might have been smoother. None the less, it gives me something to do. Even us reclusive hermits need something to do. :-)

Good Morning, it is -7 and cloudy this morning. The days are getting longer, so we have that in our favor.

Eric--I am glad you posted your videos, I checked them out today; I was wondering what your layout looked like. Cool! Nice locomotives!

Here is my old F-7 pulling a dummy and 20 cars!! Just about all these freight cars are recycled from ebay--

Good morning ..

Terry and Big E ... I am reading you are in North Carolina .... Our son and his wife live in Durham area. I like NC especially Ashville. We rode on the Smokey Mountain scenic train which was a good ride. ...

We have 5 adult kids scattered around the country. Other son is in CIncinnati with his wife and kids. There is a daughter with husband and kids in Detroit area,; a daughter with husband and kids in Grand Rapids; and a daughter with husband in Arizona. .. We see them when we can. We're considering a trip to AZ so we can see that daughter. ... We also have other family members in MI, TN, AL, TX, and CA. ...

Thanks to those who asked about the doctor appointment on Monday. I am very pleased to say I can live a life close to normal although I do have heart failure. I have had several heart operations over recent years. One night a few years ago, my heart quit beating six times as I rode a medical helicopter to the hospital in Nashville. ... Anyhow, don't worry about me. I am doing fine now.

Yesterday, I "made sawdust" as I am building a location on the layout which will include my newly built stock yard.

Good Morning. 27° and sunny today, going to 35°+.

Biscuits and Gravy! Very hard to find in these parts. Need a Southern road trip!

Finally back home again. 30 degrees with some snow predicted.

Nice video LASM.

I think I'll try to get a little work done on the layout today now that I have picked up some goodies at some hobby shops in Florida. Flip, the shop in Orlando was a nice shop. It was nice to get to just browse around and see a lot of the new items that have been brought onto the market in the hobby. Don't get to many shops at all. No large purchases, mostly detail and scenery items. Had to stock up for future projects. Evergreen styrene, Woodland Scenics products and so forth.

Glad we're going to have you around for a long time Gerry. Glad to hear things went well.

Morning All,

Just got back from the barber and feel more human now. Our youngest grandson is with us today. He got sick going into school today. Later MOH will take off so that she can get a haircut. I probably won't get anything done in the train room today since the grandson is here.

BigE- Nice video. You seem to have your track issues in hand.

Terry- Hope you feel better soon.

Lasm- Nice video. I had the Swift reefer when I was a kid. The one I had was from Tyco.

Here is the picture I posted a couple of days ago with trees and a telephone box installed.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Terry does. He's in Winston-Salem. I used to live there in the remote mountains about an hour north of Asheville until I lost my house and pretty much everything else in 2007. When I was working for engineering firms in Asheville I did land surveying all over western NC.

As to heart problems, I am told I have a racing heart (medically called tachycardia). Usually it doesn't bother me. Some days just getting out of bed leaves me unable to catch my breath. Yesterday wasn't very good after I hauled out an old mattress box springs. I had to sit down for a good 15-30 minutes until it calmed down some. Good thing I didn't have any table work or other strenuous things to do the rest of the day. I wouldn't have been able to. For the most part I'm ok. I'm sure a cardiologist would say otherwise.

Good afternoon gentlemen....just a wee quick visit before some more zzzZZzZZzzz....

Always a time and place for some PRR, eh? Unfortunately, I couldn't find #6413! :( lol

PRR I thought mine was a TYCO too, I bought it from ebay and not sure if there was a box. Nice shot with turntable!

Good afternoon. It is sunny and 40, heading for 45, before dumping 4-6" of snow on us late tonight. Garry, your relatives in Durham are supposed to get even more snow.
