Sherrel ... Very nice. ! ... I am familiar with the 1955 300SL gull wing. . My Dad owned one while I was growing up in Illinois ... he would not let me drive it after I got my drivers license however except rarely with him with me.

Garry -- There is another one on the Bay for $2.99 if you are interested?

I had a 450SL - 78 model , silver with a light tan interior -- Beautifult car, but would hardly pass a gas station! Dripped oil like crazy!

Sherrel - I am really glad to hear that your girl is back. Great news.

Citirail - Last week when I was leaving the model railroad club in Livingston, I saw a bit of a different locomotive that I had to do a bit of investigation. There was a BNSF coal train sitting alongside the depot when I was leaving and the second locomotive was a blue ES44AC I believe (not totally up to snuff on modern Locomotives. On the side of the locomotive it was lettered CITIRAIL. Never saw one of these before. From what I have been able to find out is that Citirail is a leasing subsidy of Citibank. SO, if you see one of these locomotives, now you know what it is. The train must have been waiting for helpers as I passed 3 MRL locomotives high tailing it down the pass towards Livingston.

Uh, that's "Lee van Cleef," not Cliff VanCleve. I was surprised to see him recently in The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.

John Wayne is OK, if you don't mind watching him play John Wayne all the time, and Charles Bronson leaves me cold. Otherwise, there isn't much I don't enjoy. I've lately gotten into the stuff I used to watch as a kid. I found a local place where you can buy DVDs of the Cisco Kid, Annie Oakley, and such; I just picked up complete sets of Sergeant Preston of the Mounties and Captain Gallant of the French Forein Legion.

Bronson was good in 'Breakheart Pass' and also that one with Fonda (forget the name)
I HATE remakes! I have not seen one to date that is as good as the origional. Don't even like to watch them.
Wife and I have been watching many older ones as of late .. Bonanza, High Chaparrel, too many to name. My best all around western has to be 'Open Range' - followed closly by
'Quigly Down Under', 'True Grit' and 'Unforgiven'! Wayne was great in his last one - 'The Shootist'.

It will become obvious what yer dog ate, someday. Like when the TV remote control won't work because a battery is missing or when ya find the plastic liner to the laundry detergent capsul outside on the lawn were your dog goes.

YUP, KEN -- Going to keep a watchful eye out for awhile for anything out of the ordinary. Something like that should have shown up in all those xrays?

Good evening. It's raining and 87.
I just was reminded of why I dislike Windows. I was i the process of typing out a response to a post here, when suddenly, out of the blue, and without any warning of any kind,
"RESTARTING TO INSTALL UPDATES".

I lost the entire post.

Had an enjoyable evening looking for my Bright Boy track cleaner. Ran some trains while i was looking for it. Probably put about 60 scale miles on a few locomotives while I looked all over for the track cleaner. I did find a few freight cars that needed some repairs to the trucks or couplers. Fixed those and cleaned some wheels on three locomotives. Still couldn't find the bright boy. Reprogrammed the road numbers back into a few Atlas GP38s that got changed while someone was doing their programming on the main.
I never did find the Bright Boy. It must have walked away on its own. I remember using it a few weeks ago when I did a few solder joints on the track. Nothing like Gdelmoro did though.

Terry, won't stop them pestering you at awkward times, but at least you can tell them to wait.

That's OK, I've lost, hopefully displaced 3 locos, all Protos, 2 DC and one with silent DCC, all in their original boxes, looked in all storage boxes, twice, other places where they surely woudn't, shouldn't, couldn't, possibly be to no avail, hoping now they'll turn up one day when I'm looking for something else and say to myself, " Why the #@%$* would I have put them there?"

My wife came up with a possible scenario, she said, "You sure you didn't put them in a box to take them to the club and leave it on the roof of your car when you went to the club?" "You do put stuff up there sometimes".

I don't have to go to the office tomorrow. I just might get some work done on the bridge, unless something else takes precedence.

Good evening ...

I was able to work with Flickr enough so I could post photos in the MR forum ... The MR forum requires a digital image host unlike this forum.... So, now I can go through my PhotoBucket and retrieve photos I wish to retain. I can put them in Flickr. ... In this forum, I will probably upload most photos directly.

Meanwhile, I have done some work on scenery under my new bridges. ... I would have done much more without honey-do interruptions.

....

Sherrel... I'll look for that car. Thanks.

Toot ... Perhaps, you have a ghost in your house that moved the three locomotives to a hidden location. ..Sometimes our ghost does weird stuff too.

I'll have to get the computer exorcised then, if it lives anywhere, that's where it will be.

Anybody Ever been to the Hard Rock Café in Baltimore?

Good Morning - Happy 4th Weekend to all. I still cannot believe the 'Photobucket' fiasco! Nasty I say, Nasty stuff! It's starting to warm up again this week. Was a very nice cool 52 degrees an hour ago - expected to get near 90 today and 100 later on in the week.

My girl is back ... she woke me up this morning chomping to go! Like nothing was ever wrong (and I am $571 poorer for her effort!) I think maybe I hit the panic button a little too quick. I was so afraid that she might have had something very serious wrong, but I am with you guys now; I think that she had something akin to colic or IBS. Interesting though is the fact that I made no changes in their daily meal - 1/3 portion of dry, 1/3 portion of boiled chicken, 1/3 portion of Pedigree chopped beef and a healthy bite of sweet potato. I am with Chet on the dogs. I will never begrudge them the best when it comes to their health.

That's a steal, is it hot? It's great what ever it is.

Louis, Beady--I am not above watching westerns on the screen, in fact there is a huge selection at our local library which we are trying to exhaust. One nice thing about living in a bigger city is the access to free media. Unfortunately, I don't really bother to remember the titles of the movies!

I have to admit I shy away from John Wayne, I think my upbringing overloaded me on his acting. I like Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Cliff VanCleve, Clint Eastwood, and a score of others.

We recently watched the "modern" western Bronco Billy, which has to be an all time favorite of ours.

Everyone, have a good day........

And Westerns are seldom huge box office success keeping them out of the home market for an extended period of time.

"Lee van Cleef,", sounded good to me. Good actor by any name.

That is why I like to watch John Wayne, to see him be John Wayne. I wanted to be John Wayne.

I love the Cisco kid! I was almost depressed when ME TV took it off the air. My grandson and I watched it every morning. Followed by Sargent Preston, as we got ready for school/

I've never seen Capitan Gallant..., but I do like the name. I'll have to do a search for that on the TV.

Sounds to cool to be real, but I don't doubt you a bit. Did you live in Michigan than or somewhere else? What kind of roads could you drive on? Sorry, but details are the next best thing to being there. :) Thanks for sharing :)

I use to play in an old abandon Cadillac and some other abandon car I can't remember what it was, not a common brand.
