Hi, it's warmed up to a nice sunny 42°. This thought occurred to me while I was finishing my Christmas shopping. I found myself shopping in a "Hudson Bay" Department store, (Lord & Taylor), and paying with a TD Bank, (Toronto Dominion), bankcard. Such is Christmas shopping in America 2015, eh? BTW, every individual I encountered today wished me a Merry Christmas.

Garry: Thank you. He lives in Clarksville, TN , (Fort Campbell). Merry Christmas.

Afternoon All,

Finished up the loco although it doesn't look like I did much to it. Have a bad headache and a sore throat. Have a feeling I am coming down with the cold my youngest grandson had. I don't know what it is but if either one get sick I seem to catch it about a week later.

Karl- Too funny. Godzilla cat.

Chessie- I use WS Gray blend for the PRR. After it dries I get black acrylic paint, mix it with water until it has a water consistency. After that I use an eyedropper to drip the liquid on the ballast to age and weather it.

WJLI26- Have a safe and enjoyable trip. Have a Merry Christmas.

Tony- Hope you end up with a great design.

Garry- I can't put a train around the tree because the skunks would just knock the cars off the track.

Willie- Nice scene.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Finally got the driveway plowed (again).

Snowmobiling was a lot more fun, but I am paying for it today. I found out that a simple thing such as walking down stairs is a bit painful. The back of my calves are aching and going down stairs is a real job. Not going to try to get anything started in the train room today. Up is even worse. No food down stairs, or beer. Think I'll just veg out and watch TV for the rest of the day.

Joe ... Clarksville is ONLY 60 miles from me. We go there often.

Edit .... Sent a PM to Joe.

Once upon a time, we had a couple of cats. One of them would get onto the layout every chance he got, usually sneaking in when I had my back turned, and sometimes would fall asleep on parts of it. One day, I'd had enough of the smashed flat scenery, and got the freon-powered air horn I kept in my boat. I found him asleep on top of 20 or so trees, with his back to me. At least until I gave him a blast of the horn... It was worth having to repair and replace the damaged scenery when I blew the horn. He jumped straight into the air, and tried to run in four directions at once. For some reason, he never entered the train room again...

Damn you Terry,,I got laughing so hard I spilled my Diet Dew! At least I didn't pee myself!

I heard from Louis earlier today. He's doing okay, for the most part, just running ragged with Christmas. He said he's got a couple of minor health issues he's dealing with, though nothing life threatening.
A friend of mine that owns a hobby shop in Kentucky was involved in a very serious accident a few days ago. He had to get lifeflighted to one hospital, and they put him back in the chopper, and sent him to a second one. He is at home now, but not allowed to do anything more than sit up in bed, and use the bedpan. Any spare good thoughts you can send his way would only help. If anybody knows him, his name is Richard Voigt.

Glad to hear that he's ok-ish....I just sent him an email there..
I've just bought four Atlas RS-32's (with D/B's) bodies for my Milwaukee & Western's Milwaukee Road RSC-25 lookalikes, only gonna use the short hoods, but I'm sure that I'll find something useful for the rest of it, in due course...lol

Got my new back sliding glass door trimmed out today.
They didn't come over until 1430 and just now left at 2200.
Gees, it didn't take that long to take out the old and rough in the new one.
I've been wanting to lay down for some time.
Now I need to eat then I can go lay down.

Come to think of it I haven't seen Louis post in a while.

Best wishes for your buddy Terry.

Dang M113, seems every time you post you have more RS models coming in. You must be covered up in them!!

E.

Terry .... Sorry to hear about your friend, Richard. I have not met him. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Karl ... I have not seen Ken (CSX Road Slug) posting in while. Is he okay ?

I wish young man...! lol! These are just the bodies...
It's gonna be tough not buying any locomotives for a while, but parts for those that I've got already. But then again, I'm gonna need something for the leftovers of these RS-32's, right....maybe I should just cut short hoods off and hide them away, forget them....lol!
Still not found any suitable grilles/intakes for D/B housing on the RS-3m's, looks like I'll have to get some that are close, cut and trim them to shape and size....oh well...lol!

We will put Mr Voit on the prayer list, and I'll give Kenny a call!

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 59 degrees here in North Central Texas this morning. It's supposed to stay in the 45-72 degree range through Saturday, slight chance of rain this weekend, of course the weathermen here hit it right about 30% of the time at this time of year. August brings up their average. HOT every day.
Karl, Garry, Terry & others - The good Lord gave cats a fur coat so they could live outside like mine. Of course that may not be possible in urban areas. In really bad weather, mine do head for the barn.
Terry - Hope your friend makes a full recovery.

Recently my LHS closed due to the owner retiring, and he gave me 36 of the various Walthers modular building kits. The bad news is that there were no kits containing the wall columns, # 933-3725. In my own stash of these kits, I had only one of this particular kit. Walthers no longer makes this product line and I have searched E-Bay and Amazon (and others) in vain. Does anyone know of a possible source? I have been cutting down the loading dock door walls to make my own, but that supply is limited.
That's it for now.
Willie

Good morning, starting the day off at 23 degrees with clear skies.

Terry - hope your friend makes a full recovery soon.

Guess I'll have to go through the weekend posts and try to catch up on things. Gone Saturday and did as little as I could get away with on Sunday due to aching body parts.

As a matter of fact, I talked to Ken just a few days ago. He's fine. He's busy with a few projects wants to stay 100% focused on them for the time being.

Forgot to mention, 47° and full clouds.
Rain moving in late morning and heading to 100% tonight.
Heavy scattered thunderstorms tomorrow.

S'up guys, rainin here too, we need it. The ground is still pretty dry for this time of year, the sump should be workin this month but no.

I just might have to join the NMRA, they meet at the library where my wife works and I heard they were thinking of either the very same name or a variation of the name I chose for 'my company' to use as a regional 'nick name' no doubt it's pure chance that they chose that. I just found out a long time family friend is an NMRA member and heard it from him. I thought it was pretty cool and makes me feel like I chose a good name.

Shoot, now the pressure is on to have SOME kind of quality scenery to go with the new track plan, I'm going to have a 'rep' to maintain if the names are so close, people will think I'm 'them' and so forth. I ain't changing, I got there first, you all seen it. LOL!

I could swear I read postings about this last night?
Only had 2 beers all day so I know I'm not making that up.
