Don't think there's enough room for a quarry. With the mine there, it could be rather tight.

I like it, Chessie; you keep a tidy work space as well!
Have to agree with Chet about not much room for more right there.
Ok how about this? One industry. One yard track for it.

Good morning...
Chet ..... That is a great photo of the NP train.
Chessie .... You are progressing very well with your layout.
This is hard for us to believe. .... Our oldest daughter is having her 45th birthday today. ... (She and her family live in Grand Rapids, and she works for MI State police. Two of our grand children are hers )
Chet... ANother grat photo ! ....... Perhaps you should attend Alco Anonymous meetings with MILW 113.
Talk about which....this just arrived,
my second C425....

Another great shot young man!
CS3: For future expansion: that lonely spur heading off the table near the top looks to me like a perfectly pre-planned idea for a completely separate staging area/table.
I thought you had 2 outer main lines. Need another over-head shot.

I like the first one better, with the two tracks and the industry in place. Gives you some space for other assiciated activities: truck parking, service roads, also has some roof for car storage.
Chessie - I'm with David. Not as crowded either.

Here you go E. Only a single track main. The other is just a siding. Or rather my run around track. That's where my built up coal drags will go.

Ok. So here is another set up.

Hi, all. 20 and clouds.
Like all the pics , guys!
I like that set up, Chessie.
My son and DIL will be up later today for the weekend. Should be fun.
The valance saga continues. What do you think? And be honest!!
The pieces sticking down still need to be trimmed. I thought a 45 degree cut would look ok.
Opinions?

Looking real good Terry. Nice work. I believe a 45 degree cut should work fine.
Serious bizzness! Well Done! I'll be looking to emulate that kind of "woods"!
I 2nd what Chet said Terry. Looks really good!!
Although I don't know what you need a 45° cut on anything.

I love my new yard setup. Gives me loco storage and a caboose track. Plus two yard tracks for hoppers. One will hold 5-6. The other 4-5 hoppers. Be good for what I'm running.

Brrrrrr... I walked up to the groc store earlier. WS said it was around 47°. Not so bad.
I didn't see the part about the wind. I had on a t-shirt, sweat shirt with a pull-over fleece and like to have froze.
The wind was blowing right through me head-on.
Lucky me, the wind changed direction and was blowing at me head-on for the way back as well.
Suppose to be around mid-upper 20s tonight - with high winds though.

You could be in Wyoming. Here's a photo from the road cameras along Interstate 80.

Yeah Chet,
I saw somewhere yesterday where there was a bunch of I-80 shutdown.
Honestly, I'd rather have a ton of snow and cold than have the wind blowing through me.
Us little fellers without no fatty insulation don't take kindly to a cold wind.
Snow I can dress for no problem. I still have 2 arctic parkas and both will make you sweat no matter the ambient temps.
The Gortex lined water-proof boots sure keep the toes dry and warm as well.

80 has been shut down more that it's been open all week.
