Agreed, Ford all the way (Nothing like blasting down an old two-lane back road in my 1967 Ranchero).
A rare sunny day finally come to "The Evergreen State" after weeks of nonstop rain and wind.
Well. A crappy day. 30 and sleet/ice/rain and very windy!! Plan today was to install a countertop so I can invoice the client for the final payment on a kitchen remodel. Go out to the truck. Battery decided this would be a perfect time to take a dump. Put the charger on it , got truck started. Decided not to chance the 20 mile trip into town for a new one, I'll deal with it tomorrow. Wife said the roads suck anyway. I have a feeling when I go out later it's not gonna start. Plus I'm pretty much soaked. Oh, well.
Down to the train room I guess. Sometimes it's good to be the boss.
Those are some great photos, guys!!
Hang in there, NG! It don't mean nothing as my older brother says.
How's the eye today ,E?
Sorry 'bout yer cowboys, Willie. I thought Dez was really gonna torch our secondary.
Got to run some trains again today. May be a Monday but shoot they ran good for me today. Need to do some track cleaning which I'll get to once I fix my mistake tomorrow.
Seahawks beat the Ravens like a rented mule yesterday.
Same story with the Vikings the week before.
And likewise with the Steelers, 49ers (or "Forty Whiners"), Cowboys, Lions, and Bears.
Here's hoping my Hawks can work their magic again on the Browns (And speedy recoveries for Rawls, Graham, and Lynch).
NateJ: I like your signature line.
When I was doing a lot of farm work (eons ago) we always kept bailing wire and pliers handy even when we weren't working on the bailers. WD and duct tape weren't far behind either.

Those old Daytona's can be worth a bundle if they are in excellent original condition or restored, but I don't think I want to take this one on. I have pretty well back off on the restorations for a while. After spending all last summer remodeling our house, next year we want to get some traveling done and visit with friends and family. I still have a couple of ongoing projects sitting in the shop that I haven't done anything to in a long time. I don't really do restorations for a business. It's more of a hobby, but if I can make a buck at it, that's fine with me. I sort of get attached to mine and like to keep and drive them.

Received notice that the other Pennsy modeler at the club passed away this weekend, so I will be at his memorial tomorrow morning. Jon called me last night and I am meeting him with Phil on Friday to fix my L1. Come Thursday I am a chaperone for my eldest grandsons class while they go to the Science Center...pray for me! LOL.
You'll have fun Curt. I got volunteered to be a chaperone for my step-daughter's 1st grade class to the Atlanta Zoo. I dreaded it but turned out having a great time. I think there was 6 or 7 of us doing that. They split us up into our own little squads of 5 or 6 kids to 1 of us. Once we all got "teamed" up they just turned us loose to go where ever we wanted to go. The only 2 rules were 1) don't loose your kids and 2) meet back at the bus at 1pm. I was issued a map of the zoo (good thing). I let my little squad be a democracy and let them pick what we went to see. First thing they wanted to see was the snakes and spiders - imagine that. So off we went. I don't know what they were expecting but a couple of them hung on to me like dug-in ticks in the snake house. We didn't go back there.
It was all fun. I'd do it again without hesitation.

Well I should have fun tomorrow - not really. My landlord is FINALLY going to replace my back doors (double French door) with a sliding glass unit. I've been in here over 8 years and he's just now getting to it. He's suppose to show up around 10 and we'll get started. I've done several of these kinds of replacements and you never know what you have going until you get the old unit out. He happens to be the local chief building official and is super-anal about construction. He doesn't do anything fast and my worry is it won't be fully installed by o-dark-30 and I'll end up sleeping in a cold house. It ain't like we've had ALL summer to do this or anything.
I suppose I should eat a heavy carbo supper (pile of spaghetti) so I can hang with him. He's wanting to teach his 17 YO son how to do this. Perhaps I won't be doing anything.
Last time I did one of these jobs (maybe 7 years ago) was helping a feller with a broken arm in a hard cast and we had it done in the afternoon - trimmed out and everything. Actually he'd never done one before and left me his chop-saw and nail gun to finish the trim.
We'll see what happens. I probably should make a point to not have any preconceived notions.

Ok NG and Sherrell and others who have followed my plight of loosing my quad-copter to a monster oak.......
I ordered another one!!! I just couldn't stand it anymore.
I've been flying my indoor helicopter now and then for a couple of weeks. You can only do so much indoors without making a mess (fly over the ash tray comes to mind). Outdoor flying is so much funner - plus it has the camera.
I guess plowing was a necessity. Close to a foot of snow and it's still coming down. Here's what it was like when I got home. My little garden tractor with the plow was just about overwhelmed but did get the driveway clear, but I think tomorrow the skid steer will have to do a bit of clean up work.

Now that just has fun written all over it!
Stuff like that just called me to get my Suzuki RM125 motocross racing bike and go play.
Of course that was in the late 70s when I was young and dumb and full of..... "stuff".
Doing deliveries for my Dad's pharmacy on snowmobiles was always good for an adventure.
Even at 10 below with 60mph cross-winds.
Chet gave me a call this evening. What fun is that!
He's having a pretty good snow tonight. His "white Christmas" has already been delivered.
His "watch dachshunds" were on guard barking at every flake. Sounded like it anyway.
Too funny!!
