Geez!!!!! I don't think I'm ever going to finish my track work! I already have ripped up one side of the layout for spacing issues and I'm still struggling!

Good afternoon fellow track gang workers,
Hi Flo & Francine, things seem to fairly busy here at Jeffreys' Dinner. It's also getting close to one year since he passed away at such a young age of 52 in the early morning 4:00? Am of Dec. 15th. which is also my Birthday.

It's been windy, cold and wet here, a fine soaking rain. I just went into my back porch to warm up a slice of Pizza and looking up at the hills behind my place could see low clouds setteling in. It also very cold, the back porch indoor thermometer reads 43 °F which is generally 10 °F. warmer than the outside and it feels it today but WW's info doesn't correlate?
Lets see what WW says?
Overcast 42.6 °F/Feels Like 41 °F - Feels like about 34 °F to me!
Wind from South at 3.7 mph;
The Barometer is at 29.95 in/Hg;
Humidity is at 98%!

Earlier I got another green garden cart full of wood to burn as I've had a fire going for the last three weeks it seems like and on a day like today it sure feels good and the heat-a-lator does a great job helping to heat the place. In the attached garage I have the portable Oil heater going to warm it up as I'm going to work on my train stuff shortly!

I have two of these Tea Kettles that I want to add the Air Pumps too, as on the one pictured below which I also added the Air Pump to but sold it as it was DCC which ran in reverse to the second and third 'DC' locos like this I picked up on ebay. I also want to add front couplers to them which they don't come with but shouldn't be too hard a job to add, as I'd like to run them double headed at times as they look cute as hell that way and they seemed to be speed matched very well even operating in just 'DC' I was noticing last night when running both together!

Afternoon, everybody!
This weather isn't conducive for that. It doesn't seem to dry any faster when I watch it, either.

Say Terry: Your just not projecting the heat waves to get the job done faster. Stare more intently! LoL

Hello everybody !

Chet ... Your NP Geep is absolutely fantastic!

MY NP 208 is also an Athearn Geep, and it was detailed based on photos of other NP Geeps which did have dynamic brakes.

I completed another Woodland Scenics white metal casting kit. ... This time it is a bulldozer. Parked next to it is an old dump truck I made from a white metal casting kit a few years ago. The dozer still needs some weathering.

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday !

Garry: Very nice shots, the track layer looks fairly weathered as is.

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening.

Spent the day flying. We're under a winter storm watch starting this evening and the day was so nice this morning I figured I could get some hours logged as it can be difficult in the winter. Started getting a bit bumpy as it was easy to see the weather front coming in. Time to hit the deck.

Was talking with friends about how many new products are being put into grocery stores today. They're just getting bigger and bigger in order to be able to display and carry as many as they can. I can remember grocery stores when I was growing up and they were no where near what they are today, but back then you cooked from scratch and there were no prepared foods like we have today. Heck, the cereal isle today is almost as big as an entire grocery store was back in the 50's. Thankfully, for the most part, we still cook from scratch. My wife and I really enjoy cooking and experomenting with new meals.

Sometimes simpler is better.

Chet: Nice shot.

Evening All,

Had a nice supper tonight. Well, we were getting ready to head to the Navy Exchange this morning when MOH says "We have already waited several days so lets go to Lowes" (the one in the neighboring town), I said OK. We bought a front loader on sale and got an additional 10% off for military service (pays for tax and a little more) and it will be delivered on Wednesday. It was actually a pleasant experience. It only took about 20 minutes from entering the store to leaving. I really think MOH didn't want me lifting the machine and possibly hurting my back...once again.

Here is an older photo of my coal pier before adding more details.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Say Curt: Nice shot.

NOT if he keeps taking those car rides and poking himself in the eyeballs. lol

Just wait till you get older, Eric, you will be able to pee anywhere .. You won't have to "search" for a place. lol

Sherrel: Be careful, you should know about te power of suggestion!

Hey guys
SWMBO'S birthday today, so we're at Outback Steak House , killing time before the the ribs come, thought I would stop and say hi! ! So Hi!!

I did get a little model repair stuff done today. The RIP track is getting slowly beaten down.

Karl: My repair track always seems to have something on it as quite often I get one loco or car repaired and something else goe bad.

Good evening ...

Chet ... The super market looks super with interior and all.

Curt .... I like the FM Switcher at the coal trestle.

David ... Your Tea Kettle looks like a fun engine to work with.

Karl ... Happy birthday to your other half. I bet you two are "Bonded" by now. ;)

Chessie .... Your prgress with the new layout is impressive.

.......

After hearing all the advertisements, I'm thinking of getting a life alert bracelet. I will be alerted promptly if I get a life ! :D

From my previous posts it SHOULD be known that MY SON is often referred to as 'DAS BOY'! I would never... I ain't E's 'daddy'!

Deliberate misunderstanding has driven me from so many sites.

Good Morning All from beautiful North Central Texas. It's 45 and clear right now, will probably drop another degree or two by sunrise. Spent a lot of time in the train shed yesterday since it is still rather wet outside from Saturday night's rain. Tied up a lot of loose ends and planned for the upcoming week; not that I will follow the plan. Decaled some graffiti on a couple of cars and I will weather them today or tomorrow. Finished fastening down another 6' of track on the upper level. That's it for now until I add more benchwork, but that will require a trip to HD for more 1" x 4" lumber. I haven't connected it to power yet, but rolled some cars over it for testing. Not much can go wrong with two pieces of flex-track but I always check anyway. I also positioned some already built structures in place to view how things will look. Need to build more. I have a stockpile that I purchased prior to retirement knowing that the budget was going down some until I am eligible for full SS in a few years. On the home front, I will be setting up the Christmas tree today in the house.

Terry - Congratulations on the Packers win over my hometown Cowboys. I quit watching after the first Cowboy drive ended in that interception in the end zone.
Chessie - Been there, done that. You will recover.
Chet - Love that market.
Garry - Both scenes look very good.
new guy - Lighten up some, we wouldn't want to lose you. You are a ray of sunshine on the shiny track.
Willie

Starting the day off at 31 degrees and about 6 inches of snow on the ground. Supposed to snow all day and all night. Bah Humbug.

Wanted to get something done on the layout but after spending a good part of the day flying, all I did was run trains for a little while. Not enough time left in the day to really get started on anything.

Trussrod - like the tea kettle, sweet.

Chessie - Guess it time to take a step back and take a deep breath. At least you realized the problem before you got further along.

Here's a young goy coming to pick up his girl friend as a locomotive rumbles by with a ouple of cars picked up at a customer.

Good morning, 30 and light snow. Cloudy again, and the ground is still mostly green/brown (as opposed to white, which is usually the case.)

Lots of nice photos posted yesterday ( and today)!!

by the way, what is CRS?

I have my layout mostly wired up and ready to go. I can run trains. I got to looking at it and I can attempt my old plan again seeing as how I have finally gotten my spacing on my radius as even as possible. To keep that spacing I'll have to tack a little bit of my radius down to keep them from moving and messing up my spacing. So I have a solution I'll attempt to implement tomorrow. Im going to give it some more thought today.
