TOOT .. How can you be late? You start off a day ahead! LoL
I'll have to plead that my precognition let me down then.

Toot - Corrected my original post regarding the quantities. There are still 83 of the original 85 plus the 23 "B" units in service.
I don't know all of the details regarding the accident except that it occurred at less than 10 mph. Could have been a backing accident with the engineer in a different unit. The damage is only cosmetic so they will probably just repair.

Down here to the South we have four seasons.... Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Road Construction and Repair...
Forecast says snow will continue until around 4AM tomorrow...... Probably looking at another 4 or so inches on top of what we have already. Here is what it looks like outside.
Here is the deck and picnic table (that still needs to be put back against the windows for the winter):

Nice shot of the solar panels on my roof........

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get dug out and do all of today's errands......

Garry - I agree with Chet - that's an interesting industry for your layout. No room on ours for something like that, so we'll stay with some "typical" old-school stuff like logging-to-lumber, coal distributor, grain elevator, etc. But definitely a nice feature - look quite realistic. Nice job.
New Guy - I figured that inside curve was tight - hope everything rolls right on it. Can't wait to see how it all comes together. It's looking good.
Chet - Thanks for the photos and explanation. It also helps us see your structures and scenery, too. I've seen your videos, including your ride-throughs, and it's a very nice, dramatic, and complete layout. Keep enjoying your switching.
Hasta luego.

Ran on all four lines for most of the day, only a few glitch spots that behaved perfectly after coupler crimping in the affected areas.
Did all the requisite testing, pushed 25 through the ladders and around the "S" curves, the quarter test was passed on all lines, SPEED runs were accident free, continuous runs produced only one derailment at a re-railer due to a low trip pin or whatever the heck those things I usually cut off are called, it was quickly cut off and no further difficulties were experienced! READY for the Holidays on time and under budget! When I put in the last yard line and the run around track there on the left side of the yard, I will have just a stitch over 500 linear feet of track down, powered, and runnable, what is that, like 8 scale miles or something? I know it takes em a LONG time to go around!
I will be trying to model farm fields to use up some of this area but I STILL need MORE track! LOL! They weren't there when they were ATSF units so I don't know what they are. Almost looks like the light strips on top of police cars. What are those white covers on the sides of the roof, or more accurately, what are they covering?

Good morning. 26 degrees and overcast to start off the day.
Sherrel - A slight owie to that locomotive.
Ray - No sympathy from me. Had that over a month ago. I usually don't whine until I have to get the skid steer out of the shop to clear drifts. Here a few photos from a few years ago. Had numerous snow piles the size of semi trailers when the clearing was complete.
