The English language and all its regional versions are fascinating!

Years ago, this show was on PBS early Sunday mornings. I was glued to the TV every week!

Good morning, all! We are off to a warm muggy day. All eyes are on Beryl. It certainly is a unusual hurricane to say the least. A Cat 5 this early in the season. The guessers are guessing it will be a Cat 1 or Cat 2 or maybe a low Cat 3 when it makes landfall. This rapid intensification thing has really made predicting a crap shoot. Anyway, I have a few things to do today in preparation just in case. At this point my only real concern in the shed in the backyard, which is tried down, but old. Also, the wellhouse, located in the sideyard, bolted to the foundation and made with Hardie board, which makes it very heavy. A previous wellhouse was blown over during a hurricane, taking the piping and water storage tank with it.

STAY SAFE
LATER

Almost noon and I'm just getting in...

Supposed to be 90° later with some thundershowers near dawn tomorrow morning.

All 4 grandkids here overnight, all had chores here as well. I'm now broke...but stuff done I can't do yet, 2.5 weeks until I can, or at least lose the restraint.

Blt's for a meal today.

BBL,

Afternoon everybody!

Had an inspection on a house today, one we are considering purchasing through my fiancées family. Not only excited for the possibility of upgrading from an apartment to my first home but also space for more trains! More on that later:)

While walking around the property with the inspector, we came across two praying mantises. Never seen these little guys in real life before, very cool!

For those of you in the Midwest, or want to be in the Midwest, and know your little train people need their cheese curds and frozen custard

Had Culver’s grilled chicken last night with a concrete mixer (Oreo) to go

Somewhere over Colorado on a cheap fly from Breeze Air but so far better than any American Aitines or United flights I’ve taken in 2024

A220 aircraft, united and AA on this route today were all Booeing and I’m trying to avoid Boeing for awhile

That is defiantly going on my layout along with DQ Grill and Chill.

I've had these kits stashed away for a couple of years now.

If your looking for more modern commercial structures, check this place out.

Id tell you to have a safe flight, but by the time I seen your post you would have already landed.

Enjoy your get-away!
