Good Morning All. Mostly sunny and 70°. Might warm up to 94° today, only managed 92° yesterday, so the cool spell continues.
Broke my chainsaw yesterday, or should I say it broke itself. Chain kept coming off. After several frustrating and dirty rounds of putting it back on, I realized that the split ring retainer that held the driving mechanism tight on it's shaft was missing. So I cleaned up and drove to town to the Ace Hardware store to get another. Of course I bought two since I am like that. After getting home and reassembling it, I made lunch and sat at the computer for a bit. I opened up the desk drawer and right there almost on top was a spare that I had bought years ago and forgot that I had. At 65¢ each, I wasn't upset about the cost, but the 45 minute trip took valuable time from my day!

On the way home, I stopped at an estate sale and bought some clamps for $20. I'll probably use them once or twice at most.
I didn't go out to the train shed yesterday. I fiddled around with the drone that I bought from my grandson. I am able to fly it pretty good right now, but I have to keep it within sight because I haven't figured out the phone app to use the camera yet. Maybe today since there isn't supposed to be any wind.
While I have the folder open to train show pictures, here are some from the TrainTastic Museum in Gulfport Mississippi, formerly known as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Model Railroad Museum, until they moved down the street.
Terry - I haven't had a jury summons in over 12 years. The last one that I got, I accidentally missed. I called the court clerk that afternoon and she told me not to worry as they dismissed everyone anyway, since all defendants either pleaded guilty or missed their court dates. I looked up the cases later and all of them were either meth labs or DUI cases. Up until 2005 or so, cattle rustling was the most prevalent crime in our county; it was passed by meth related crimes that year.
Choosing your battles wisely can sometimes be the best course of action.
Joe - Yep! Party lines. We had one in New Orleans in '59-'60. Don't remember our ring though.
Patrick - Good for you on the money market account. We've always used them in lieu of savings accounts. But we do keep the minimum balance in the checking account to avoid the service charge. And since we can move money from one account to another over the internet, it's easy to keep the balances right; if you remember to do so! That's my wife's responsibility in our household.
Full moon tonight, watch out for the crazy people. The weekend is here for some, everyone have a great Saturday.
