It's still very humid here. 75° coming off a low of 73°. The bulk of last nights Rain passed to either the North or the South of us. We barely had a trace. Dew point is hanging at 72. Going to 86° today, which is 10° cooler than yesterday.

I haven't been out front yet, but I think they are paving the circle today...

Yeah Willie, it is Thursday already. My oldest son is 44 today. Where did the time go?

Much to my surprise, was the fact that they weren't only just recorded messages, but the phone using AI or something, also had the text of the voicemails! This is quite handy to someone like me who normally just hears garbled voices when listening to voicemails; and who in the past had to get my wife to listen to them with me. I hear these same garbled voices on the speakers at drive-thru's as well; which is why I always go inside.
Yeah my iPhone does the same thing for Voicemail. It attempts to transcribe it. I agree it is very handy as I can screen and see if I really care to listen or just action off it directly.

Well, howdy there internet subjects!
It's Troy again. 37 trips around the sun with my Sweet Wife as of today.

Here's us on that day. My college roomie was son of a pro photog, so we asked him to photograph the wedding and church basement reception. Then off to my father's for an after reception party... My roomie wnt up to the best man and said, "I have ONE photo left" and then looked at the swimming pool.

I grabbed by wife, thinking they wouldn't throw us both in... We were wrong.

OK, I always have admitted that I am somewhat challenged with cell phones. I cleared most apps off my new Samsung S-24 (Amazon, Tik-Tok, etc.) when I first got it. One that I kept was Voicemail, but in 8 weeks, I have not gotten one at all. Then I got two on Monday that I didn't see until yesterday. Much to my surprise, was the fact that they weren't only just recorded messages, but the phone using AI or something, also had the text of the voicemails! Funny, you seem to hear us typing at you just fine ;)

This one thing I love about my phone: the speech to text feature. Reading voice mails is always better... SPAM - delete that one!

And my sister, who is extremely dyslexic uses the speech to text when she sends messages. It's not perfect, but faster and more accurate than her typing would be.

Back to the anniversary

Tonight will be a dinner at Outback, with mandatory Chocolate Thunder desert.

I got up at 4:30a, put out her card and party sized bag of M&Ms next to her recliner. And she totally bypassed that room, heading straight into her office.

I did manage to get 1800 words worded. All but one of the districts in the little seaside down have reported in. Man! That election is CLOSE! about the only thing from real world that hasn't happened is replacing a candidate. But we've got lawyers and recounts, and magic unicorn horns. I even worked in a couple of drag queens for good measure!

OK, back to wording words. It's a comfortable 68° F on the patio. so I'm enjoying the morning outside, in long pants and a cardigan.

Congrats

Right now, it's 70° at the Reservoir, only went to 88°. The dew point remained in the 70s all day, with a calm wind. The front porch was much warmer, around 95°, but I attribute some of that to the heat off the fresh hot blacktop they applied this afternoon. It was noticeable at the top of the driveway, some 30' back from the curb. In any event it will be dropping in to the mid 60s tonight, and the next 7 days are projected to remain in the mid 80s during the day.

I'm going down to check for Mail. I don't think they even attempted to deliver today, although the road was reopened around 1600.

good morning

Wife just came down to tell me she's basically off work for a while

They use Microsft for a lot of their workflow.

She's going for a walk while the IT wizards unravel the Russian bots
(I'm just assuming anything bad is from Russia until proven otherwise)

Dinner was good last night. Came home and had a glass of Kirkland scotch. It's not bad on the rocks, but I turned it into a godfather with some amaretto. That helped it.

This morning, I've gotten about half of my words worded. Going to be a nice day, so porch sitting is in order. Will word words out there. And laundry. Need to do the laundry.

Oh, and I'm making sausage and peppers today or tomorrow. Haven't figured out if we want to cast iron pot them on the kamado, or do them inside with the slow-cooker. Sausages are already smoked, so it just needs an hour of so to simmer the ingredients together and soften the peppers and onions.
