My little Maddie is fitting in well. The two 18 year olds have been very tolerant of her. She never stops. Attacks everything. Loves life. Here are a few pics of her over the last week. Enjoy.

I never wore helmets either. I did my high speed runs on my road and mountain bikes without them and hit 60 and 50 mph respectively. Put my head down, peddle as fast as I could in high gear, down hill, tail wind. I figured I'd rather die than live with the road rash and other calamities.

I’ll shut up before it gets too political.
No need to continue, i suspect we are all thinking the same thing.
My problem with Walmart super tech and other non name brand oils is that they don’t usually make a “Euro Car” compatible version of their oil. One that is additive package compliant with the VW (or MB or BMW or Volvo) specs. Most of the euro makers have a different take on oil than the U.S. and Japanese makers and have a different additive package.
It’s always smart to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Even the most expensive oil is still cheaper and easier than dealing with engine repairs.

78°F/77°F so far this morning. As much as I don't think I should, I'm going to attempt to mow at least the front yard this morning before the heat index crosses the 100°F mark. Might to a partial cut in the back after 1500 when it's shaded.

No shade in front at all though until near sunset.

I may service yet a third locomotive today, but haven't decided which one yet. I didn't realize I had neglected much of the fleet until I started working on them again. I get lazy with equipment maintenance when there is so many to take care of.

Finally dropped another pound over the last few days. For weeks I've been stuck at 158+/- and finally dropped to 157 on the scale twice this morning. I weigh at nearly the same time every day so I can see progress...or not. It's taking forever to lose the 13 pounds I put on between last November and February of this year. I haven't had a slice of pie or a piece of cake in six months. Not one.

I'll probably lose another 2 pounds cutting grass, but that's all water weight that comes back by the next day. Sometimes the same day.

Stay safe if you have to be in this heat today.

Servus!

Morning folks, been a hot minute since I've last posted on the forums. Still dabbling in the hobby though.

Both laptop and phone say it's currently 86, it's a little cloudy with a slight wind. Got out last night and early this morning to watch the meteor shower, only spotted a handful but there were plenty of satellites zooming across the night sky.

Hello all you fine folks of both hand dominance and those who are ambidextrous too! I'm cross-dominant, left eye is dominant but predominately right handed. Makes shooting interesting. Anyway, glad for the good report on Maria, maybe she needs a kitten to keep her amused.
91 here and heading for 103, gonna be over 100 for the next 10 days except for one at ONLY 99. Gonna be cleaning today as Friday we are having Niece's Birthday party here then Sunday my Wife's Aunt is coming for a week. Then that weekend I have the Conway Train Show, hope to sell a lot of N and HO stuff there. Modules are pretty much ready except need more people [don't they always need more people?].
You guys have a great day.

Do you think that these are enough kittens?

I got the front cut. I had to push, pull, and push again in the taller areas. I started the back, but I had to stop. Legs were feeling like Jell-O and I'm pretty much soaked head to toe in 40 minutes. When you have to peel your clothing off because it is stuck to you, you know you're soaked.

I'm a righty, but until lately, I was shooting long arms lefty because of being left-eye dominant. I'm trying to change that because of the glaucoma in my left eye. I can shoot pool left or right. I learned that decades ago at a lot of VFW and American Legion halls, and a lot of old fashioned neighborhood taverns. You older guys are probably familiar with those. The kind that the EPA today would issue a hazardous conditions warning because the two feet nearest the ceiling was all cigar and pipe smoke.

I think I'll wait awhile before resuming the backyard. It's going to be lunchtime soon anyway.

Good morning again. Home between medical appointments.

Cardiologist says I’m doing well then tells me the latest 2 weeks ago full test results. Slightly larger Aorta (new development)than normal and blood pressure is too high! Duh! GP says I am within BP guidelines and Cardiologist says wants me at 120 not within guidelines! Wants my 2 mile 35 minute walk upped to 3 miles in 50 minutes or less 6 not 5 days a week. He will not adjust my meds for 6 weeks when I need to send in my blood pressure readings 3 times varied over a day instead of the 1 at wake up I’ve been doing

It’s raining now and should continue all day per Terry’s morning news lady. WeatherChannel’s app thinks it’s dry and clear, so that’s worthless today

WILLIE, I have discussed pollsters in the car with the crew heading to work or operating sessions. None of the 5 of us have responded truthfully in years. The election Tuesday was one of those where the leader going in had a 20 point lead per polling results and lost. Votes really counted in this one. The winner won by just under 3000 votes! The loser has not claimed any voter fraud!! She had conceded already

The nasty commericals have begun already on YouTube

Good morning, all! Had a series of x-rays yesterday. That is the last of the data gathering before a consultation next week. Hopefully they can help relieve the pain in my leg.

If I want someone to be able to read my writing, it must be done with my left hand. I throw, bat, shoot right-handed. Most tools can be used either hand. In first grade in Catholic school I got swatted on the left hand and told to use the other hand. My folks finally told the school I was going to be lefthanded and to let it go.

STAY SAFE (Left hand gets the day off)

Good Morning again.
Back from the doctor and grocery trek, along with a stop at Home Depot; where I got the replacement garden hose for the one that I ran over with the mower last week.
The epidural procedure went without a hitch. While relief is supposed to take 3-5 days, I noticed some immediate relief less than an hour later. Made the entire grocery trek without having to rest. :):):)

Later gang.
