Yeah, I can imagine and agree. I hope they reveal why he got off so easily. Definitely sending the wrong message at this point.
Because he’s in the UK. They coddle criminals and offenders and terrorists and prosecute people buying baseball bats and saying mean things on Facebook. (And silently praying on the street by an a***tion clinic — not blocking access or anything. Standing there saying a silent prayer)

I’ll shut up before it gets too political.

For any of you wanting to learn a bit more on motor oils, this video, by Lake Speed Jr, "The Oil Geek", is very informative.
About 30 minutes but worth the watch.

Take care....John
My problem with Walmart super tech and other non name brand oils is that they don’t usually make a “Euro Car” compatible version of their oil. One that is additive package compliant with the VW (or MB or BMW or Volvo) specs. Most of the euro makers have a different take on oil than the U.S. and Japanese makers and have a different additive package.

I used the Walmart super tech in the last Honda Fit change and need to do another one on the next month.

I usually use the mobile 1 synthetic with the right specs for my euro cars. It’s usually the least expensive compatible oil at Walmart. But sometimes the Castrol (highest grade) synthetic with the right specs. If on sale.

I haven’t watched the video yet. It’s late. But I’ll watch it tomorrow.

Thanks for posting.

Good morning all!

A much cooler day today. Currently its a partly cloudy 65F. High is only going to reach 72F. Should be mostly sunny till early afternoon
when rain showers will move into the area into tonight.

Nothing big planned for today except usual stuff around the house.

Have a safe day everyone!

Today is International Left Handers Day.

I'm left handed but write right handed. When I went to school everyone wrote right handed;
learned to write in cursive and tell time on an analog clock. I can print left handed.
I eat left handed so in restaurants with small booths I usually sit where my left arm
is at the aisle. I know that left handed scissors are available but found it easier just
to use the 99.99% available right handed scissors.

I bat and swing a golf club right handed but throw a baseball with my left. Left hand is
the stronger but dexterity is about the same in both hands. I pistol shoot leftie but
right handed with a rifle. While at basic training with the M16 rifle, we were told if you
shoot left handed button the top shirt button or put a towel around our neck since
the shell casing ejects to the right and rear. Don't want a hot piece of brass rolling
around inside your shirt. Had experienced a piece of welding slag fall into a shoe
and get lodged in a sock once-enuf said. I kick with the left foot but usually
operate a shovel with the right foot-go figure.

I operate power tools left handed except for my chop saw and drill press. When I
was still working, I designed jigs and assembly fixtures. I designed them for my
left hand operation and then mirrored them for right hand when they were built.

Never encountered a left handed dentist. Since everything in that environment
is geared for righties; wonder how that works.

Thanks for taking the time to read my miscellaneous ramblings.

Morning all,

Between the site having issues and getting busy at work....

Supposed to be cooler here as well with a high of 104° instead of the 106° we had yesterday feels like temps in the 110° to 115° range.

Got a new park online yesterday so the water department can get into a control valve through our network instead of using cell routers. Also means the we can offer "free" wifi to anyone using the park, although all of that equipment won't be purchased until next year as the budget permits. Cell service is basically a joke in the immediate area. We've had to add cell boosters in some of our buildings to handle emergency services needs. I now have an AT&T 5G phone that drops to 1 bar 4G (as does my Verizon city phone). Same as at home. Wife's sister has T-Mobile that does the same at our house as long as you're outdoors. And I constantly get flyers and email about how they have 5G everywhere...Use our Cell Internet service...At 4G speeds maybe? No thanks.

Barely 7 and duty calls...And yes I said duty! 🤣 (IYKYK)

As I tell my Left Handed granddaughter...Left isn't right! I myself am ambidextrous, so I really get no love...😆
Bet you didn't expect that out of left field...Enjoy.

Good Morning All. Clear and 81°, headed to 103° today. Same old forecast , hot and dry with heat advisories as far out as one can see.

Packed agenda this morning, with the visit to the spine doctor for the epidural steroid injection at 8:00, followed by the weekly grocery trek. Doc says no problem with driving afterward, but my wife is going anyway just to be sure.
Nothing special yesterday, laundry, and composting for the garden plot; the result of clearing out some out of date frozen stuff from the bottom back shelf of the freezer. It was the results of a less than successful freezing attempt of some yellow squash a few years ago. It froze OK and was edible, but the texture and consistency sucked. I believe that I blanched it too long during prep, since I have successfully frozen it before. Neither freezing or pressure canning is particularly desirable, but freezing works better.

Nothing special out in the train shed yesterday, I continued painting figures and looking at wiring.

Todd - Good to read that Maria's condition was not as bad as first expected. Good vibes from me for a rapid recovery.
Tom O - Political shock??? I truly believe that many folks have been intentionally misleading pollsters since around 2015.

Scott Powell, founder and singer for the group Sha-Na-Na, is 78 today. After retiring from music in 1981 and returned to medical school, eventually becoming an orthopedic surgeon.

Got to go now and shower before that early doctor visit. Everyone have a great Thursday.

Good Morning All!
62F @ 61% seeing some flashes . Great, just what we need - more lightning.

According to the guessers we were supposed to get rain showers yesterday afternoon. Ya, 3 drops maybe. More of the same today.

Household is pretty much back to normal. Animals back to doing what they do best. Lil is now eating about 2 quarts of goat pellets a day, time for a bale of hay for her. Maria is beside herself cuz she is not to do anything for the next few days. Wrapped her right wrist so she could take a bath last night; against Doc's orders but I let it slide. We still are finding stickies on her from all the devices that were connected.

I also am a lefty. When I was just beyond diapers, those days left handed was frowned up on. So Mom tried to teach me to use my right hand by standing on my right side trying to hand me something directed to that side. That didn't work as I would then take whatever with Both hands. I write left handed, both cursive and block, can sign my name with right hand too. Shoot with either hand/eye. Eat/drink with both hands ( Ima guy ). Left is the more dominate side but what ever the left can do the right tries to keep up. Now if I had a third hand, a whole bunch more stuff could get done! Lefties are *supposed* to be more artistic as they are right minded ... hmm guess I missed the artistic boat. And yes, left side finger/toe nails grow a tad faster. On top of that, my mustache curls up on the left side, down on the right. All you not in your right mind, practice, practice practice. You will get there!

Good morning. 70 now going to 75.

ICE wears gloves now!

I’m right handed but remember in early grade school the nuns tying the left hands of kids so they did things right handed. In my 8 years of Catholic school I do not recall any left handed kids. The grandson plays golf and hockey left handed but types with both!

Waiting for my 8:10 appointment with the Cardiologist. Then a pain management specialist to renew my medical marijuna prescription that has a good chance to be denied as our State politicians think they are medical experts. I come back at 4:15 for tge Lyme disease team. Then tomorrow at 3 sit down for the Medicare required Wellness visit forr20 minutes. Than at 4:40 I see the same Doctor, my GP to review all the testing and doctor notes from this week

Be well!
