Good morning all. It is supposed to be sunshine with the odd shower. The showers are winning.
Flo. A large coffee please.
Youngest grandson visiting later.

LADY MARGARET

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those who wonder who Lady Margaret is named after?

It's Troy again

I was out of yogurt this morning. And the milk to make the oatmeal with smelled like the inside of a politician's limo...

So I went out to get a donut. Then I headed to the grocery.

Cat has been hiding under the bed this morning since a storm front moved through. Our little section of the Fort has about .25 inch of "liquid Sunshine" so far today.

Looks like the cat may go hide under the bed again.

Cat update... We've got a litter box on each midway stair landing (between floors, half a flight up - landing - another half a flight). He's using those instead of his pooping palace in the basement. Two days in a row with all piddles in the boxes, and not on the pads. So we're getting him back on track.

Later this week, I'll swap out the litter robot for one of the landing boxes and see which he prefers. Need to get him past associating pain with either the location or the fancy pooping robot box or both.

Good Morning All. Clear and 75°. It did hit 100° here yesterday and is supposed to again today before a mid-90's cool spell hits tomorrow for a few days. Heat advisory as usual today.

Modest workout yesterday, as I used the weedeater around the wood piles and then stacked some of the accumulation of cut and split firewood from the last month. Ran around some of the trees out front with the push mower, but that's a never-ending chore. Late in the day (for me anyway), I went to the PT place for the initial round of therapy to restore stamina. I still think that it is due to over-medication but I'm willing to give the physical therapy a chance. I go back today at 1:00. Narrowly missed the bulk of the school traffic from the nearby school; both places are on a road under construction a block from one another. Next week I'll be on a more regular schedule of twice a week for 5 more weeks.
First up this morning is a follow-up visit to the cardiologist office, so the whole day is taken up with health-related stuff.

No visit to the train shed yesterday, but today's schedule looks like there will be time after the PT.

90+ posts since yesterday, so I may miss some during my review this morning!
Despite some tasty burgers at various places, there still ain't anything better than home made and grilled over real charcoal. I'm still working on a perfect onion ring recipe though. I used to have one, but I quit using the deep fryer about 7-8 years ago. There used to be a Fuddruckers in Denton, my wife loved it but I thought that it was so-so. Went out of business pretty quickly many years ago. They couldn't compete with the Whataburger right next door. Can't imagine who thought that it would be a good location since Whataburger was there first.
Forum gremlins seem to have hit me now. Pictures are not loading, or only partially loading and I have to refresh some pages. Doesn't seem to be happening on other websites that I have visited. But none of them are MRR sites.
Mike - I'm trying to remember Ponderosa Steakhouse. I know that I had eaten there but I don't remember that decade too well.
Tom - I probably fall in the "offensive driver" category. I am an impatient aggressive driver who does not like to follow.

In keeping with David's stream of philosophical remarks, here is one that I live by:

Everyone have a great Tuesday.

Good morning all!

Its going to be a little cooler today. Currently 71F with a high of around 80F. We finally got got some rain last night into this morning. Haven't
went out and looked at the rain gauge yet, but judging by the height of the pool at the skimmer I would say at least an 1 1/2. we needed it.

Daughter gets here upper braces today at 1:30, so that should be fun!

Nothing much else going on around here other than a load of laundry and dishwasher emptying.

Have a safe day everyone!

It was a restaurant with a buffet and Salad bar. You could just do the buffet, or you could add on a steak and potato for a few dollars more with the buffet. The steak wasn't top choice by any means, but it looked and somewhat tasted like Sirloin.

Good morning from where I’m at! A unscheduled day and Terry who didn’t sleep a wink last night is on the couch sleeping and snoring even though I’ve been told she doesn’t snore. Been married 48 years and 11 months and been together 51+ and I can tell you, she snores, when not grinding her teeth!

I tossed the laundry in the washer as she said she wanted that done today. Besides the central location in Vancouver the reason Terry wanted this AirB&B was the laundry! I’m not getting into a discussion on that but I do like this place laundry or not

Breakfast sometime today will be our 1st visit ever to a Tim Horton’s. Like Waffle House is a one time per vacation visit when we head to Texas from home in Wisconsin we are going to try Tim Horton’s.

Together we came up with some ideas what and where to visit today. We leave Wednesday morning for the 3 hour train to Seattle and we were told by a couple on the Whale tour yesterday the scenery is great. They’ve ridden the Coast Daylight (we will next week to LA) and had some really good things to say and a couple watch for things. They were taking the Rocky Mountaineer Wednesday to Toronto.

Ponderosa and Bonanza restaurants were pretty similar and the big guy from the Bonanza TV show started the restaurant. Can’t remember which one we ate at but just remember a big good salad bar.

Enjoy your day

That’s what prog and fusion is !!
Shows you what I know! 🤪 I love music, but I don't know ... anything about it. All I know is I like what I like. ROck on Dude!
I don't remember that decade too well
I doubt the haze in your mind is from the smoke of wildfires.

I learned at an early age to pick out the girl or girls I was going to talk to before I started drinking.

Even that didn't save me from the persistent girl that showed up late. If she offered to take me back to her place for a "smoke" and to buy me some French fries..., next thing I knew... "Good morning, I'm late and I have to go now. No, thank you, it's okay, really, I like to walk."

Whatever you do, don't let them know where you live or give them the correct phone number. Thank God they didn't have cell phones back then.

Mornin', folks. It's 87F and 65% out on the patio today. The forecast is claiming a high of 95F and a 30% chance of rain in the early afternoon, but I'm not buying it. Thursday's rain claim is still there, but the percentages are dwindling, and Friday's vanished.

It said a high of 97F yesterday, and we hit at least 103. You'd think with all the AI that we'd have more accurate weather forecasting by now, but nooooo....

The forum is still being a bit slow and flaky, sadly. It's not unusable, but it can be frustrating at times.

Did nothing yesterday, and probably will do nothing today. I was, however, reminded that there's a train show this weekend in Austin, so I'll be going to that. There goes my weekend!

I might spend some time playing with the track plan, but we'll see if I can get off my butt and actually do that. I have had zero energy the last couple of days. I'm putting it down to my overly productive weekend.

Have a good day, folks!
