How are they doing that? I doubt your company has the tools to block a specific provider. They may be able to block all cell signals in a given frequency band though I am not sure the legality of that.
FWIW, Many places, retailers, hospitals and other medical practices. Mostly places with a proprietary WIFI, or retailers trying to prevent customers from using "online only" discount coupons in the store. Nothing illegal about it. It's their property. Goes back to when they banned cell phones, and forced customers to use high fee proprietary pay phones.

Good afternoon. "Your Business Stinks - if ya don't advertise with me" - sign on floating billboard off Belmar, NJ this morning. Only in Jersey. Bumper sticker - "Only Jersey understands Jersey" Yeah, I believe that's right.

Baseball:
4:05 PM Boston at Washington. 7:15 PM Queens @ St. Louis. Baltimore can't lose today, Not playing....Same with the Yankees. NFL Preview game: 7:30 PM Cleveland @ Philadelphia. Gotham Giants play Friday.

While everyone was over at Belmar, I did my walk, then washed the dishes, mostly emptying and reloading the dishwasher, and made myself lunch. Just finished when everyone came back.

I’ve discovered a partial workaround, which is disabling 5g. I wonder if they are using something in their security that is inhibiting some frequencies. The facility is geofenced, and the moment we leave the property, our devices work like they should, so it’s something they have or are doing, legal or not.

Edit to add: Is your phone trying to use your work wifi to place the call? Some phones have that ability. Perhaps yours is configured that way... to try wifi calling first? If that's the case, they may have a firewall that prevents people from hacking into their wifi just to place calls.

On the other hand... Can you dial out on your cell phone while at work? If not, then tell them you'll hold them liable if you ever need to dial 911 and it prevents you from doing so.

The problems are with cellular data only. I’ve been forced to turn off wifi just so I can check my emails on my phone. Their wifi is very restrictive, but now cellular data seems to be restricted or blocked.
I can make calls, some text messages are being blocked.

Jamming cell phone signals is against federal aw and there are no exceptions for businesses, classrooms, etc. per this

Technically, the tournament I'm prepping for is in Oct, so the timing is right if you figure out the movie I'm basing the army off of

Afternoon All,

Started off the day getting up late after another restless night with minor itching. After a cup of coffee, I did a load of towels then vacuumed and steamed the downstairs floors. By this time, I felt like my heart was racing and I was breathing heavily. I laid down for a couple of hours getting some solid sleep. MOH made me do another Covid test and it was negative again. I was planning on doing a walk tomorrow but that's not going to happen.

Joe- The itching is better but it's still there. Nice photo.

David- Nice photos.

Troy- I thought that was Santa's sleigh until I blew up the photo.

Willie- Interesting Longhorn photos.

Chad- Of course no one except government agencies.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Good evening. Queens 3, St. Louis 0; Washington beat Boston 10 - 7. NFL Cleveland 8 - Philadelphia 3 under 2" 2nd Quarter.

Weather: current 75° after a high of 83° Predicted low overnight 72°. 30% to 60% chance of Thunderstorms after 0200 tomorrow - ending by 1400 tomorrow. High 85° No rain today, most of it was well off shore.

Trip to the shore was successful. Kids had a ball. Grandmom thought she was still a kid. Highlight of the day, Sea Gull tried to steal the wife's cover-up, while she was in the surf.

Curt: What ever it is, it doesn't sound good. Take care of yourself, and get well.

Jamming cell phone signals is against federal aw and there are no exceptions
Chad: Not for nothing, its only against the law, if the government cares enough to enforce the law. Not a high priority... Like pilfering from mail boxes... Prosecutors are Politicians, not public servants. If a violation doesn't generate media attention, it's a waste of time.

According to NOAA, Hurricane "Hillary" is headed for the Southwestern US. Will add to the current "Monsoon" conditions. Who Knew?

The sound of the second half of August is very apparent, especially after dusk. Also crickets are starting to show themselves. about 37 days before school reopens in September. So far, only nine 90° or warmer days since mid May. Contrast that with other parts of the country with relentless heat. From what i can tell, only one heat Wave, a grouping of three days in July consecutively 90° or above.

No time for the railroad today... I did harvest my second and final yellow squash...one from each plant. Garden this year was a bust. Weak and mislabeled plant stock, colder than average temperatures, no rain early in the growing season, lack of sunlight, ineffective fertilizer....all sorts of possibilities. Then there was the deer issue. I might still get some late cherry tomatoes, mainly from two plants that grew from last year's dropped / composted fruit. Stronger and fuller than the new stuff, with a lot of green tomatoes. Maybe by Labor day?

If it doesn't rain tomorrow morning, I will try and make it three walks in a row outside the house. If the weather allows, I will start weeding the flower beds, and removing unproductive plants from the garden. If it is too wet, I'll find something else to do.

Have a good evening.

The horse that fell at Saratoga after winning 5 in a row was owned by the ex-Giant head football coach Bill Parcells. A golf friend of mine that owns houses said Bill left the track right after they put the horse down. Another horse redo golf friend of mine said, going 44 seconds for half than getting fatigued may have caused a misstep breaking her angle.

Outrage surrounding Saratoga Race Course follows the euthanizing of Maple Leaf Mel, the Bill Parcells-owned filly, who was put down after suffering a catastrophic leg injury just meters from the finish of a $500,000 race at Saratoga Springs on August 5.

The horse was leading the field and looked sure to cross the finish line as the winner, before its leg buckled, unseating jockey Joel Rosario, who was taken to hospital for evaluation and needed stitches for facial abrasions.

On-site veterinarians tended to Maple Leaf Mel, but she was euthanized because of the severity of the injury, New York Racing Association said.
