After he fell he said they were going to the cabin. The cabin has terrible internet. But when someone asked today I had the feelingI was hoping he was just away from the internet for a while. Looks like that hope was in vain.

I did that as a youngster with a "D" cell battery and a pair of wires.Really, all you do is pass electricity through water, and the two components separate.
I thought breaking down water to obtain hydrogen was costly process.

The “Hydrogen economy” seemed like a good idea 50 years ago. But battery technology overtook hydrogen and now it is simply a niche product. It will remain that way until someone comes up with new materials and processes that make production and storage of hydrogen cheaper. There are more costly and less costly ways. When you have inexpensive, clean, and green nuclear power to drive the process it can be done in a relatively worthwhile way.
Overall less cost to the society than the solar and wind commercial installations, which are ecological nightmares.

I think you should call the White House so they can change direction.Nope. Battery technology is a intermediate step while we get the infrastructure and tech to make hydrogen scale.

So for my burning question. First a little background. I have designed in 2 Branch lines to different locations, one on lower level that goes to upper, the other on upper level back down to lower. Branch lines will cross each other at grade somewhere. Question: have any of you designed a branch to main crossing intentionally to slow things up? Either of the branches can cross the main ( at grade ) so that has not been decided yet which. Main currently is about 140ft per level with unknown transition footage as I need to curve fit.
