First thought was: Where exactly where you making your pee run?
To the bathroom. From the bed. The whole house except for a couple closets and the kid's bathroom is vaulted. While the ceiling/roof structure is well insulated at 16", you still hear the rain on the roof (standing seam step). It's not loud or noisy obnoxious. Not any louder than our old house with its traditional roof and attic.

Down to 34F and still snowing. High yesterday was upper 60s

Made it back from the Doctors and got a haircut.

From the test results I am being referred to St. Joseph's hospital in Baltimore for a cardiac cath session. Possibly for stent installation or possible bypass surgery further down the road, but 1st they want to go inside and have a look-see. If they just look, its outpatient. If they put in a stent or 2, then I stay overnight. If I need bypass then that gets rescheduled for a later date. So now I wait for the hospital to call and schedule a date. Till then no physical exertion, if I start to feel chest pressure call 911, and so forth. I'm relieved that it won't be at the local hospital since I've had not so great stuff there before. St. Joe's is probably the best cardiac unit in the state. Frankly I feel fine until I really have to start to work hard or walk a long distance.
Son #3 is coming over Saturday to till the garden and help wifey put down the weed fabric. Later I will give wifey lawn trimming and mowing instructions (her request). Frankly driving the tractor is easy, I can do that. Plus the tractor has a cup holder for a cold beverage!! Til then it is work as usual til called.

Cardiac Cath itself is painless. My cardiologist anticipated stents, but when he went in, he found I didn't need one...instead, I needed an aortic valve. which I got a month later. they went in through the arm for the cath, and from the groin for the aortic valve. Held me over night. Then I did cardiac rehab which was great. I'm waiting for my call tomorrow for Monday's Hernia procedure. Should be out the same day.

Good luck with the Cath.

Good Friday dinner will be Salmon, Fried Potatoes, and ColeSlaw. Easter Sunday dinner, Ham Potatoes and Asparagus. Saturday's is the wife's birthday. Looks like cake and Ice Cream. Monday, is Hernia Repair Day at Jersey Shore MC. Good Surgeon, relatively minor procedure, should be home that afternoon...so why the hell am I stressed??? No big dinner for Easter this year...Just the wife and I, (and the Kitty).

Brilliant sunset red glow in the West, as I took the garbage to the curb. All my solar lamps were working. Warmer tomorrow.

I almost completed the backdrop row house sides for the other street, just the glazing and window dressings, then I'll apply the backboard and the fasteners.

I did touch up some of the trim after looking at the photo.

NHL regular season ends tonight. Pittsburgh leads the Capitals 3-2 with 13:40 in the third. Ovie scored another. #897.

I've got several of them, Malibu International, purchased at Walmart.
Karl - You're probably correct. I've had it for many years and I purchased many Malibu vehicles from Walmart when they were available. I should have bought a lot more, but finances were tight at the time as I was still paying for three kids in college at the same time. I recall that most Malibu vehicles were either foreign sports cars or American convertibles. I remember that there was some sort of conflict because all of the Malibu vehicles were actually Model Power cars made by the same manufacturer in Hong Kong, without permission, and they were severely under-cutting Model Power's selling price.

IIRC, there was also a brand of HO cars at Walmart called Sweet Cherries that had the same “parentage”.
I too should have purchased more!

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with hearts!

It's Troy again.

Hoping everyone with health issues keeps going!

After the chicken breasts yesterday, I kept the grill going, and put the cast iron pan I use for those deep dish pizzas in for a seasoning refresh. Got it up over 500 f-degrees and ran it for an hour (using olive oil), then shut it down. Hoping that's enough, but I might do a second seasoning today if not. Looks like this may become routine. Ringing the pan with a dry cheese to get the crispy outer ring means I have to use the plastic scraper to knock off debris. And that ring is where it needed to be re-seasoned.

Got lucky earlier this week. My local hobby shop has several boxes of Midwest Nscale cork roadbed in stock. I've got about 2.5 boxes of Peco flex track waiting to go down. But I only had about 1.7 boxes of cork roadbed. I forget how many strips of flextrack are in a Peco box. I think it's 24 or 25. The boxes don't say what the quantity is. Maybe it's a Schroedinger thing... You're not sure until you open it?

But, I should be close to parity now.

And, I'm facing other question on the layout. Do I begin laying track on the upper level first? Or stick with the lower level? I'm looking at the layout and realizing it may be easier to work on the upper level first. Hmmmm????

Upper level was going to be more prototype focussed on the Conrail area (still proto-fantasy) I grew up in. Still a loop with some switching industries. Railfanning and scenery are my major goals for the layout. Anyone have thoughts?

It would probably be better to work on the upper level first, as there would be less chance of damaging the lower level. If it's not there, you can't damage it, and I can't see anybody having to stand on the upper level to work on the lower level.
