Nice. Just wanted to let you know the driver (seat) is on the wrong side in the pic 🤣
Yeah smudge tuts it is all in the details lol.
FYI my brother drives a left hand drive campervan in the UK because it is used mostly in Europe. He needs wing mirrors as it wouldn’t be the first time he reversed into a tree, and I shouldn’t take the p because once when dark I trusted my mum and sil who said it’s clear behind me and reversed…into a tree….oops.

That's why you always look yourself, especially if they have never driven the vehicle you have, you know the height, width etc. they don't, also, a reversing camera can be most useful.

Good morning Everybody!

Keeping busy with work, nothing new. Now with baseball season in full swing I have not had much free time.

The Orioles are looking better after a slow start. They have won 5 of their last 10 and just won a road series with the Angeles. Pitching has been solid all year, but run production has been inconsistent. Next is the Bronx Bombers. Would be great to take another series with the Yanks!

The Mets and Dodgers are rolling! I guess it should be expected with the two highest payrolls in baseball. Including the Yankees there are only three $200 million + teams. By contrast there are only 2 teams with a payroll under $30 million, the Orioles and Cleveland. The average MLB team payroll is about $115 million. Money can't buy love, but it occasionally buys a championship.

MLB.tv is fantastic! Even better because it's free to me, thank you T-Mobile!

Speaking of T-Mobile, our 5G home internet has been consistently faster than our former, Comcast's Gig speed internet and much more reliable! At $50/month T-Mobile is much cheaper, win, win! My grandson is my "litmus test", no complaints at all since we switched. Not even when my wife and I are streaming in 4K UHD at the same time. It's nice not to hear "poppy, the internet is down". Even better not to have to reboot the router! Thanks again T-Mobile!

For all of those going through the suffering that life can bring, I hope and pray for the best. I know it's not much comfort, but suffering makes us stronger. Keep the faith, the sun will rise everyday.

God Bless Us Everyone.

Have a great day Everybody!

Morning all,

In a bit before work. Got home last night and mowed as the wife had a meeting after work and they were serving dinner. So I got the mowing done and then ate a can of beef stew.

Trying to lose some weight. I'm really feeling it in my knees. Down 8 pounds in about a week. Just cutting back on the snacking helps. I also have to move more at the office instead of just sitting in my chair so much of the time.

Time to head to the office. BBL

Little tree or big tree ?

Good morning all! 36 degrees heading for sunny and 56. Sorry I missed checking in yesterday. I've had a lot going on and just didn't make it here. Nothing bad going on, just a lot of good and/or normal stuff.

I was gifted a couple 2 level tables for my office from our telecommunications program lead. The old setup for working on an ailing PC wasn't very good, so these nice tables will be much better. We have a lot going on with graduation coming up and I'm still learning what all my duties will be for the big day.

Nothing much else to report. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning RR, MLB, and generally laid back folks! Supposed to reach a high of 85f today un der mostly sunny skies.
Have to make an appointment with the dentist today (I missed a call yesterday), then have a tele-visit with someone concerning my upcoming heart work, then have an HOA meeting with a "new" landscaper this afternoon - hope I don't forget someone.

Nothing new in the list of ongoing events! The Spousal Unit seems to be holding her own - says that outside of a headache and hoarseness that she does not feel too bad.

I just cannot say enough about all the comments and outpouring of sympathies from each and everyone of you. I probably talk too much, but you guys are my heros with your modeling, photos, and life experiences. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Good Morning All. Clear and 48° on the SFW estate. Today will be a repeat of yesterday with temperatures in the low 70's and sunshine all day. While things didn't dry out yesterday after the 4"+ rain Sunday, most of the standing water drained off. My pond is now full for the first time in over a year.
IMG_0736.JPG

Matter of fact, it is slightly overfull due to debris at the spillway. Here's the other end .
IMG_0737.JPG

Water should not be quite as close to that tree; it's actually around it's base but is masked by vegetation. But so be it. It will recede soon.
Garden survived OK, but some broccoli plants were beat down a bit from the heavy downpour at some point.
IMG_0739.JPG

They will have no issue with surviving.
The Romaine lettuce looks great despite me picking many outer leaves off Sunday morning. The green looks better than the red right now.
IMG_0741.JPG

The cabbage to the left shows some signs of damage from cabbage worms, which I picked and squished Saturday and Sunday. It's pretty easy to find them and pinch them, rather than spreading non-organic chemicals around to consume later. The damage is to outer leaves that aren't harvested or eaten anyway. There is an organic one that makes the worms sick and they die, but with no more plants than I have, it's not worth buying a five pound bag to use a teaspoon.
While I was out there looking things over, I spotted the first snake of this season, I had set the camera down, so I didn't get any pictures. About an inch in diameter and 18" long, a common garden snake or as the locals call them, "a chicken snake". It's probably feasting on crickets this time of year. This one could get lucky and capture a small mouse; it's about the right size to do so.

Moving on, I have a stress test scheduled for Thursday and per doctors orders, I have begun reducing the dosage of one of my BP medications. I haven't had one in about ten years, so it will be a challenge.

Thanks for the many comments and likes for yesterday's ground throw tutorial; Dave B, Smudge, Patrick, Sherrel, Chad, Hughie, Steve J, Rick, Karl, Curt, Louis, Tom, Guy, Tom O, IB Ken, Jaz, OB Ken.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I made my first real attempt at weathering an engine. I chose the CF7 that I painted the handrails on about two weeks ago. I am using only weathering powders from AIM. Since CF7's were built from '72-'78 and were gone from the roster by '86, they never became "rust buckets", as well as Santa Fe strongly believed in having washed good-looking equipment. So light weathering is called for. Mainly steps, end handrails, trucks and battery boxes.

Looking for suggestions and comments.

Karl - Love the duck picture. One of my neighbors raises Muscovy ducks and every so often, one will fly down and nest somewhere on my property. Muscovies are big ducks and dress out between 5-6 pounds. I generally keep a couple and have him round up the rest of the brood which is generally 16+ ducklings.
Yep! You're about to get hit with the same front that drenched us. Watch out!
Sherrel - Give mine and Arlene's best wishes to Kate in her Covid battle. She shouldn't have any real issue with quarantining at her mother's place if you bring groceries and alcohol.
I'm sitting here getting snockered off of Kirkland's Margarita mix with my added in Tequila while the Spousal Unit is hibernating away from everyone 6 miles away.
Oh Boy - Is she gonna owe me! How long is this going to take?
Yes! But she is probably laying next to the pool with her Margarita!;)
Dave B - Seven wheelbarrows full! I hope that you have a powered log splitter. I count mine by the piece because I use a "sledge & wedge". But I generally don't have to split much.
IMG_0764.JPG

I have a lot this year due to a 40 year old tree that I had to remove last fall, but I have all summer to split what's left.
Todd - Human hair is a somewhat good repellent for deer, although they will ignore it sometimes. Also a good deterrent to rabbits as well, is organic Blood Meal. Both animals are vegetarian and the smell of blood repels them. It generally needs to be reapplied after rain though.
Terry -
I went to the bank and ordered the required statements, 60 of them, at a cost of $2 per statement.
That alone should qualify you for Medicaid.

Everybody have a great day.

have you done a speed test? I’d be interested to know as I have been looking at T-mobile for the house

Thanks

Good morning from a wet damp Wisconsin. It wasn’t supposed to rain overnight as I left my brand new patio chair cushions out last night. I never do that but I did look at the weather report, so…

I got 3 hours in the train room at the bench yesterday. Accomplished minor things which of course is better then none.

Booster shot #2 is being done at 2:30 today.

Have a great day
TomO

Well, howdy there internet people, and the deer that munch on things they're not supposed to...

It's Troy again...

Just my luck, if I tried to put human hair around something to keep the deer from eating the leaves, they'd beat on my door and then demand to speak to the buffet manager because there was a hair in their salad.

In other news, yesterday was a bad asthma day... Tree Pollen seems to be a trigger for me. Hit the yellow on the air quality pollen monitor at 5-point-something.

House got kinda muggy from being closed up last night. So, knowing the wife likes to sleep with the window open, especially when it's in 40s and 50s (f), I opened the window at my O'dark'thirty loo run. Figured the cool would also bring in some pollen so I headed to the basement, and slept the rest of the night in the recliner next to the air cleaner. Still had to hit my asthma inhaler.

Checked weatherbug for the pollen count... YIKES!

AQ isn't bad... but those darn Ash, Birch, and Cottonwood trees.

I've been taking local harvested honey in my coffee, which is helping with the allergies... but the particles in the air... well, that's what is giving my lungs a workout.

I need to run to the store, and I'm considering breaking out my N-95 respirator mask for walking to and from the car.

OH, and I sold off one of my 3D printers. Gent is coming over this afternoon to pick it up. I'm running a few test prints to make sure everything is good.

My newer, larger, Resin 3D printer (An Elegoo Saturn 4K) is supposed to arrive today. They're just over $400 with coupon on Amazon. A newer model is out, so the base Saturn is on clearance (be sure to check the coupon box if you order one).

This is getting a bit on the ridiculous side . . . . . . . . . Golf course tee times delayed . . . . . . . . until the temps get above freezing, maybe 12 noon!! It's almost frickin' May! Really hoping to get one full round in before surgery next Wednesday. <S I G H>

Wednesday, I fly down to DFW where the temps will be in the high 80s - - - This Minnesota kid is going to die in the heat!

STEVEJ, Steve, Steve!
After the winter that you have had - forget the golf and get some pool time in.
You most likely need to work on your tan as well?

My Daddy always said that only guys with "little bitty balls" play golf!
My brother in law was showing off to my husband on his swing, my not so stupid husband got him to face away from out greenhouses, my brother in lay wellied it missed then caught it in the backswing …one large smashed pain of glass later…..

Little tree or big tree ?
Oh it was big, wider than than the car

it was winter dark, my mum had asked me to collect sil from her friends house I had never been there before, I was turning, reversing to get back out of the house car park area and I asked. Sister in law to get out and look and she said too cold but she could see and it was all clear, gee thanks.
Brother divorced her :) not because she made me crash my car, but she was not missed I can tell you. I lent her clothes. When she was pregnant and when I got them back most were only fit for the bin as they had milk stains, which is easily avoided! Hmmmm too much info for y ou guys I think….sniggers.
