Good Morning!

Only have time for a quick cup of joe before I need to go outside and shovel again.
12f out there with a 25% chance of more snow today; which really means it is going to snow again. And then tomorrow, the call is for rain as they expect it to warm up that much, in a hurry. - It's a weird storm; part of the system that hammered BC.

Ken - I really enjoyed the heavy-hauler photo, with the smoke in the back. Just a side note. I worked on electric drive heavy haulers for two years of my life. Your depiction is pretty well what they look like when a coal load lights up.
One day, when I feel like it, I'll try and dig-up some photos of heavy haulers at work. I believe those photos are still on disk.

Oh-Oh! It's only 7am on a Sunday, and I can here my neighbor outside shoveling the snow off his walk. I suppose I'd better get out there!

Have a good one!

You all need to try squaring the circle with just geometry... none of that advanced Einstein type math.

Since Pi is irrational, and pizzas are Pi, it's irrational to make a square with the same area as a circle...

Therefore, to understand women is an irrational task, and doomed to failure.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a slice of Pie, because that is rational
I have never ever met either a woman or a man I understand they are all irrational…..
hoever I find the comment over pie totally rational….yum yum…ice cream with my pie please

Hey y'all, Happy Sunday. Yesterday was a great Sports Day, Villanova Football and Basketball both won, Jersey Devils and Washington Caps both won, and Ovi scored two more goals.
Around here, a sqyare pizza is called a Sicilian Pizza, A rectangular is a Tomato Pie, (not a pizza), and a White pie is round with no sauce.
Gotta go, have a good one.

Good morning gang

The grandmonsters just left, and I can breath again.

Pineapple on pizza is delicious. But then again, pineapple on anything but the floor is great.

Men v woman, Youtube a guy named Mark Gungor, a bit called a tale of 2 brains. He hit the nail on the head and SWMBO now understands my "nothing box".

Good Morning all. Starting out as a warm day. There is a slight chance of rain this afternoon.
Flo, my favorite please, breakfast burrito but hold the beans.

Back in New York, in the day, many pizzas were advertised as "flying" hence the throwing in the air and of course they came out round. Even the pizza parlors that didn't toss used rolling pins and got a round pizza. The square pizza, at least in my neighborhood was called Sicilian pizza and had a thicker, more bread like crust.

Good Morning Everyone....a nice fall day here in Wisconsin. Getting ready for the Green Bay Packer game at noon. My wife is going to the Packer game on Christmas, leaving me and Riley in the warm comfort of our den watching the game. I love Lambeau Field, but I did my share of cold games and the coldest being the Championship game against the Panthers and getting off the bus it was a -8 degrees. Nothing like eating a brat and drinking a beer at a -8 degrees. The brat steamed and the beer froze in its cup.

We had a luncheon yesterday of our informal model railroaders of which Dairyland Dad of this Forum is a member of this group with interests in N scale to O. The Corvid kept us a part and we usually meet at each other's homes. I maybe wrong, but we're close or more than to 20 years of friendship and modeling interests. The restaurant was next to the CP rail tracks and they entered the City of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. We had two westbound trains pass-by while we were at our table.

My fire engine with operating LED's arrived and I look forward to installing the model. It should add some interest to a fire scene on my layout. Just under $100, but a nice model and loads of LED's. Now I need to find a smoke generator to produce some smoke in the fire scene.

Maybe tomorrow I'll work on the layout....???

Still hard to believe that Garry has passed away. Maybe someone in Garry's honor, could do a collection on the Forum of some the photo's Garry posted over the years?

That's it for now.

Greg

Usually I write absolutely anything without waiting for anyone's permission. It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission...This is only my very personal opinion and I totally agree with myself !

I can sympathise with that lol, he’ll I think that is my philosophy…..,

as a real comment though….coming on what is frankly a pretty much male hobby forum, you need to be fairly open to having the piss taken outta you if you want to blend in, or p off back where you came from, and as my old dad used to say……
if you can’t take it….don’t dish it o…..

My husband will say I never say something in one sentence, when an explanation which needs a tea break will suffice…:D

i think my verbose replies on here give you a small hint of how I can verbalise, my husband could only in his dreams wish for such succinct replies.

my son said to me mum can you make your text msgs short and simple…..then complained I woke him up because I did,but I spammed him with like 10 msgs in order to do so…..real story I kid thee not.

but hey cone on,except for Christian who admits to wanting a simple loop, you all know the rest of you dream of a layout with the track to the right….,,,,

…….did someone put a kick me tag on my back…..or was it a bulls eye :p

you also know making a woman centre of attention just blows up her ego don’t you……,it would take at least a 300 Norma to knock this unicorn off her feet……pokes out tongue

Afternoon All,

Started out with some chores then spent several hours in the train room doing more ground cover in the area I have been working on. I think I'm ready to add trees to the section. I'm not sure how much I'm going to get done this week as I have a bunch of extra things to do.

While I was typing this MOH goes we need to pick up a crib (for a friend-WHEW!). On the way home MOH says let's get the car washed, then after that it we need to go to ALDI, and finally after that we needed to go to Publix...sigh.

Tomorrow I'm driving Daughter and family to Port Canaveral for a cruise over Thanksgiving. They return on Friday. After getting back home son is helping me with a Thanksgiving cleaning project.

Jaz- Great weathering job. I admit I hate cooking. I'm fine cleaning up afterwards.

IB Ken- Another great steel mill shot. I prefer the one where you can still see the reddish/orange color.

Toot- Nice photos.

Greg- Very nice layout shot.

Willie- More great layout shots.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Mark gun for has just become my favourite person,
1. I agree I remember everything and can remember minor details from decades before and often find proof to back me up-my husband gates that
2. And the nothing box, my dad,my brother,my husband,my sons…..yep they all have a nothing box,and once they open that box and have the tv remote in their hand….I slink off….probably yo both our reliefs lol, I cannot stand mindless channel surfing

Lower is 36", just right for grandchildren; upper is 56", just below my eye level. I am 5'4".
A very good height as it is an aspect I enjoy most of the time except when in high heels.
9BDDD223-6473-40B2-9185-7351BB46E018.jpeg

bloody hell that picture is big…I would have swore I had dainty feet!

and the advantage of high heels? Because women always moan their feet are killing them within an hour….if someone pees you off you can remove them and gouge their eye out….seriously though never pinch the bum of a woman with attitude and high heels, she will step back pop her heel on your foot then drop her weight on the said heel in question and wait until you hiss in pain…….for that reason I prefer a metal heel……grins and tweaks eye brows…….
….and yes that is a pink cowboy hat, in straw…my go to for gardening in hot weather……
