Captain Crunch was the best. It made the tastiest milk!
Captain Crunch is awesome. But you can only eat about. half a bowl before it rips your mouth apart. There is so much sugar its like eating volcanic rock.

I remember when I went back to school and had some roommates in an off campus apartment. We used to shop at a place called "Food-4-Less" and one year there was a special version of Captain Crunch for Christmas. After Christmas they still had pallets of the stuff left and they sold it off for like $1 a box or something (that was 30 years ago so say $2-$2.50 in todays money). O bought a large number of boxes. It lasted forever since after eating it once or twice you had to let your mouth heal.

I'll eat basically any cereal. I don't care. Though the super sweet ones only in moderation, the fruity popped rice ones being an exception. I could eat the whole box or bag.

Good afternoon to all.........

A couple of nights ago I had to dispatch a rattle snake. Last night it was a skunk. I shot at the stinker 3 times. He was on the move after he spotted me at the back door. I might have scored with the first round as he really bounced and got a move on. I do believe I hit him with the second shot as he leaped in the air about a foot and stink was in the air. Don't know about the third round as he was moving away pretty quick. I hope I got the rascal and he ran off to the woods to die. Skunks in my area are well know for getting/carrying rabies. I had to dispose of another skunk about three months ago as I got him with the first shot and he croaked in my back yard pronto with a head shot.

I need to visit a dermatologist again. I went several years ago to a guy in Wichita Fall Texas (about 65 miles one way for me) to get some spots checked and skin tags froze off. He said most of my spots were from sun damage and were not dangerous. I tried to make another appointment with him about a month ago but he has moved on to another location. There is only one 'GOOD" dermatologist in W.F. and I'll have to wait about 2 years to get in to see her. And there are about 5 others, all with 4 star reviews or less. I guess I'll have to go to Abilene or Lubbock to find someone that is qualified or at least meets my standards.
I am light complexioned and when I was a kid everyone said "you are really white...you need to get some sun". No sunblock when I was a kid, only baby oil which I think only helped the "roasting" effect and was applied AFTER a sunburn. I had a couple of convertible autos, owned a bass boat for several years and road motorcycles most of my life so no shortage of sunburns throughout my time on earth.
Something for all the young folks on the forum to look forward to.

On the cereal front it was frosted flakes when I was kid. Or Cream of Wheat for a warm cereal, very rarely did we ever have oatmeal. I think my dad detested oatmeal and mom was not a big fan. As I have gotten older its Bran Flakes..no raisins, Life original, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, All Bran, occasionally corn flakes and shredded wheat.

I'm wanting to build my Walthers Champion Packing kit. Getting kinda tired of wiring LEDs and panels for turnouts. Maybe a change will be a good thing. Gotta get some flat red paint for the packing plant brick. I've got the stock pens for the packing plant to build also. We shall see how this goes.

Better get busy........John

Problem is the iPhone 16 is smaller than the 16 plus, so it want even a close fit!

Probably a half assed effort on the shipper would be my guess.

I'm guessing that they were shipped by Amazon for whoever the seller is. Most of that sort of thing is. The seller ships it to Amazon and pays them a storage and fulfillment fee. Most of the time when I've had a similar problem, it was because the Amazon applied barcode on the outside was for the wrong product compared to what it is, but the barcode is for the product you ordered. I'm guessing that was your problem. The barcode was for what you ordered but was stuck on the wrong product. Someone screwed up when the product arrived and was placed on the warehouse shelf.

As part of the great house project these past few years I bought a bunch of Square-D 20A heavy duty outlets, Decora style. All in white. Across multiple orders and shipments. In one of them I ended up with a Square-D 15A, traditional (the two "round" receptacle) outlets in gray, and one 20A one Decora style in black. I didn't need either one. I talked to Amazon customer service and they just refunded me for the two missing ones and told me to keep the wrong ones as they weren't worth it to go through a returns on. They refunded me as their standard policy and told me to re-order, but all the sellers on Amazon were out of the white ones at the time so I just go the money back and two "free" outlets. One I used to replace one I had caused to overheat in the old house (in the garage and I don't care if it was the wrong color -- its the garage and not my house). The other I used in the mechanical room. Even though I would have liked to use white so it matched, being the. mechanical room the black was not so bad and they didn't have the white ones anyway (and Home Depot etc didn't have them).

Sorry guys, but the ultimate breakfast food is BACON! Not some sugary cereal that gets soggy as you consume it.
That's the truth.

I almost never eat cereal now as it's expensive and not particularly of any nutritional value. Recently the wife bought some expensive granola varieties at Costco along with the strawberry frosted mini wheats. So I had a mix of those a couple times to break the monotony of my egg/cheese/ham on crisp bread that has become my staple.

But occasionally if the wife has splurged for the daughter I'll sneak a little. Doesn't happen often.

What?! But that's the fun part! *ducks and runs*

More seriously, I just spent the last couple hours doing fiddly soldering with a bunch of WS2812 LEDs and other random stuff, for something only vaguely train related, so... I think I'm done with that for now. On to software!

Of course, I still need to test what I wired up, so we'll see how that goes...

For breakfast I've begun getting bagged of frozen biscuits and frozen sausage patties. I bake the biscuits in the air fryer 7 at a time, slice them, put them in a glass bowl with a lid. Every morning I pull out a frozen patty and a biscuit, and microwave for 1 minute. While the sausage is arguably "bad" for me, I'm pretty sure not having a slice of American cheese and a prefab egg on the sandwich has to end up being less calories and less cholesterol.
