Good Morning All. Clear, sunny and 75°, mid-90's for the next ten days. I'd say that it's warm out there, but this is actually about average June weather for us.
I want to once again thank everyone for the positive thoughts and prayers the last few days. Obviously I should be checking the BP daily, a habit that I quit a few years ago, instead of just relying on the meds to do their job without monitoring. I haven't had any adjustment in over 3 years, and they should be monitored more closely according to all of the medical people that saw me. I still believe that I wouldn't have been confined quite as long as I was if it wasn't for the $$$. Sunday's stay was $74,400±. Maybe it was the menu selections! I also know that the BP readings there were severely elevated just because I didn't wish to be there. I hate hospitals, whether visiting or staying, worse than soldering on the model RR. BP this morning more than 12 hours after the last medication there yesterday, was 143/75. An hour after meds this morning, saw 124/72. The best that they got during my stay was 159/78, and they took a reading every hour the whole time.
Back to a normal life today, but I am behind mainly in yardwork. That rain Sunday didn't help. I'll probably have to take it a little easier for a couple of days though. Laundry is on tap, since my wife didn't do any in my absence; she was with me most of the time. I did pick Tomatoes after getting home yesterday, as I am seriously behind. Right now the Early Girl Tomatoes are in abundance.
There will be a canning session in the next couple of days. I also picked a softball sized variety called Black Krill. One large and one a bit smaller.
There's more of other varieties out there that are just beginning to ripen, plus many more of those 4th of July variety that I have been posting.
Catching up on the train shed, I finished up on that P2K covered hopper. I had to add 8 pennies to the weight to bring it up to NMRA guidelines since one of the weights was missing. Four above and four were glued below the weight that I had. Should have been 4 of these, 2 each end, but only 3 were in the box.
Note the detail in the printing on this 20 year old model.
I also had to fabricate a roofwalk support since one was missing.
Finished car in poor lighting.
Today will most likely be running trains including this car for testing purposes.
Too many posts for me to make comments on for right now, as I need to go out and turn on the pool filter and a couple of other minor things while waiting for the very heavy dew to dry.
Everyone have a great Tuesday, it's good to be typing this on my keyboard with the 23" monitor in front of me. See y'all later
