Good Afternoon All, from a hospital bed in Denton. While I feel OK, my BP was 171/115, pulse was 147, so we came here last night. So far the EKG was good and I have an echo test later today. Stress test in the morning. The numbers are back in line. That's all for now since typing on the phone is just not working for me.
Willie-Hope its nothing serious, praying you feel feel better soon!

Take care my friend. Hopefully it's just dehydration.

Happy Fathers Day!

Would that be an issue with the controller? I hear PWM is not a coreless motor's friend. Also, have to ensure the motor is properly sized. I tried a 1015 motor in a Hornby 0-6-0 chassis and it seemed to run like a slug. but a 1020 works great.
Yeah. Some of my DCC decoders come with some CVs that should be set for coreless motors. Probably for that reason -- some sort of frequency mismatch.

I was wondering that myself, but I did not coin the phrase. I had an idea of what the intent was, but can't think what it was right now. Hopefully it comes back.

Sorry, not trying to be snide, but it's in the back of my mind and I can't remember. It is 0045 right now and the melatonin ain't working.
No, the saying is exactly correct.

"RANK AMATEURS OF THE MODEL RAILROAD FORM" meaning "very much a beginner of the model railroad type" in literal meaning, though the saying is better.

I can’t abide in that kind of group. There is always a subgroup that will jump on the littlest mistake and blow it all out of proportion. Then feelings get hurt, people drop out and the group suffers. This is supposed to be fun dammit!
I believe in prototypes -- of the models. I don't weather or anything and leave it all shiny plastic. They are the prototype of the model. 😂

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wishing Willie cute nurses and a speedy recovery!

I bought more dwarves... including a dragon with blaster cannons on it...

The seller is a fast painter, and not really detail oriented. I'm not great at painting, but I spent this afternoon repainting the dragon...

I'm not a fan of orange, even if the cannons are supposed to channel magical fire.

So, a switch up to blues. I am going to go with the idea of the dwarven magical fire needs a winter dragon to keep it contained. Put a coat of light grey primer on the dragon, and started laying on teal for the scaley bits.

Then I started working on the cannons and howdah they attach to... More blue. Get rid of the orange... Unfortunately, there are three dwarves that are supposed to sit in behind the blaster controls. He lost them.

So, I need to find some usable variations in the 3D printing space that I can download and either convert with the parts I have left over, or use new versions of.

I was just about to comment about how much you do every day. Seems herculean to me. Hope nothing serious and you get better soonest!

Good morning. It is already 31C @ 76% at 0840. It's supposed to be cloudy...

Made it to 0300 this morning before finally falling asleep. After failing a few times, decided to complete my four box cars.

Upside down doors and all!

I put together several roundhouse kits lately, the top track goes a certain way that can be difficult to decipher,

I think I may have gotten a couple correct...

I ran the Varney loco a bunch this afternoon. I did not tinker with, just put it on the track and ran at different speeds, some full throttle as well. In some instances when it did not move from a stop, turning the throttle up all the way got it going with out touching it.

Sometimes it starts well from stop even at low current

When it does not start out from a stop, tapping down lightly on the tender gets it going.

I think, somewhere between the tender wheels and the motor lead, there is a faulty contact.

I am leaning towards replacing the tender trucks with something new...

Hello my trainiac friends,

I live a short distance away from a very busy mainline between elkhart and Chicago in mishiwaka Indiana. but I need an insiders help. I watch the virtual railfan stuff on youtubes and was wondering does the PTZ camera that faces past the NYC museum does that face west or am I horribly mistaken. I ask because I wanna be able to get a head start to my spot if I can see the trains coming on that page. and also why does it seem that even tho I live close to a mainline Goshen HAS TOOOOOOONS more trains then mishiwaka could ever dream. ANyway if someone could help in these inquiries that would be great.

Yo Willy: You're supposed to be the Healthy one! Take care. Hopefully, the tests will find the glitch. Prayers are forthcoming. You're in good hands.

Best of luck for ya Willie! Gotta take care of the ticker!

Afternoon all,

Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

We had the youngest granddaughter overnight so her parents could take a date night. When the engineer daughter came to get her, she asked if I needed help. I told her there's a screw on the blower motor that I can't get at ( Karl might know of which I speak). The '09 I managed to get at, but with the arthritis and I'm not sure the under padding isn't thicker, I can't get at. Never heard an engineer cuss the stupidity of another before, but we got it. New blower motor in less one screw. Held with 2 sided tape.

Grandaughter helped me get some beets and carrots this morning. She said she didn't know carrots grew in the ground.

Willie: Get well soon.
Trust me, your engineer daughter may be a lovely person , but as an ex-technician we a pre-disposed to be vary wary of them.

An engineer it is said, will walk over 100 virgins to screw a technician!!
