Hot dogs, Cook however you like. Put in bun. Add your favorite BBQ sauce, top with Mozzarella cheese, broil in oven until the cheese melts.
I knew I had a photo somewhere.

Good evening all.
I took youngest grandson home. On return I found that Dawn must be ill or something. She asked for a glass of whisky!!!
She hasn't touched Scotch in years. Why now? Why mine? Should I call for a doctor, ambulance even?
I made my wife coffee this morning.

She HATES coffee.

Next thing I know, it's in a spray bottle diluted down to spray on the hostas to keep the grubs away...

And in other news, I finally got to use my I-2-3 blocks.

Have to go home the long way tonight. They closed the roads I usually run due to high water from the north. I figured the river crossing area wasn't going to last when the water covered the shoulders when I went through this morning. I'm just glad I no longer live in the area covered by the dike. Water up on the dike used to get to me since the flood we had years ago. I'm high enough in elevation now that if the river floods my house, the town has bigger issues than the dike being 20 feet under water.

the astute amongst you might have noticed I glued the wrong section to the middle section. Good thing I'm using Tacky Glue.

Rectified...

You can tell because one face of the building has "skinny" windows, the other side of the building has "dad-bod" windows. The new photo shows the skinny windows.

Another pest control tip for your wife. Nicotine is an amazing all purpose pesticide. Soak chewing tobacco in water, then use the liquid in the spray bottle.

Neonicotinoids (synthetic nicotine) are extremely effective for general pest control. Unfortunately they are systemic and can't be used around flowering plants because of damage to pollinators. They have a long residual property and we used them effectively for cockroaches and bed bugs.

I failed to mention earlier, that today is the 51st anniversary of the infamous "Ten Cent Beer Night" riot, at a Cleveland Indians home baseball game in 1974 against the Texas Rangers.
This quote from sportswriter Paul Jackson says it all.
Early on, the demand for beer surpassed the Indians' capacity to ferry it to concession stands, and a luminary, perhaps the same person who suggested the promotion in the first place, decided to allow fans to line up behind the outfield fences and have their cups filled directly from Stroh's company trucks. The promotion achieved critical mass at that moment, as weaving, hooting queues of people refilled via industrial spigot.

They have a pretty large section for model trains and good prices.
I order my Kato 11-109 chassis' from Yodobashi as they are the cheapest I could find. I just recently ordered a Tsugawa Yoko tram and a silly car that I will post a pic of when it comes in. Only problem is that they don't accept US credit card on their on-line system. Tried 2 times with them coming back with we can't verify it, so I have to print out a scan code and go to the nearest convenience store with cash.

Awesome 2 year old Christmas gifts!

OK, Patrick, Tom, Marlon and any other gardeners out there, here are the first of the season.

This is a new to me variety called Fourth of July. Plants were planted on 4/11.
I do pick before fully ripe on the vine because of varmints and insects; although two of these will be ready to eat this weekend.

Welp, finished assembly on the building. I made a few mistakes. Covered up or corrected them.

Here's the finished, with a 15mm soldier for scale.

I happened to have an unopened pack of styrene just the right size to make a base. It's glued in place now.

If you look close you'll see the top step is angled. I had one of the stair supports not get lined up correctly. I had to cut a popsicle stick down to make to top step.

Above: the other side. This one is mostly right. But I started gluing the stairs on the wrong side. Had to switch before adding the styrene base.

The cupola. I have an STL of Gen Buford (Sam Elliot) I want to put in there. But he's on a horse. I can't find a record of Buford taking his horse up there with him.

I’ve been noticing the current crop of locomotives seems to be DCC/sound, or DC/Silent, with very little simply having only a decoder. I tried getting just the DC version, and adding a decoder, but by the time I get to that point, it ends up only being about $25 cheaper than getting one “fully loaded”. Probably a lot of that has to do with the price of motor decoders going up. I’ve noticed a standard decoder that used to be around $20-25, is now $35+. Plus I’m having to pay shipping for the decoder, in addition to the engine.
With what I’ve seen, I may decide to just go back to the sound versions, for the relatively small price increase.
Anybody else have any thoughts?

I’m still confused over buying a DC loco that came with a speaker factory installed!

Are they an heirloom variety? 60 days from seed to harvest? Amazing👍

These are the folks I buy my seeds from.
