Good evening folks, 72 here with heavy storms off and on all day. Heavy rain and lightning all around us and forecast for the next several hours. Discovered that Tubi has Doctor Who on it, all the way back to the first episode! So I know what I will be driving my beloved crazy for the next several weeks! For those of you who know what Daleks are, they are in the very first episodes!
I am nearing completion on my mini army painting marathon, and it quite honestly feels pretty good.
Anyway, you all stay safe.

Yup, A6400. And the app was the Sony imaging edge mobile. Set the camera to send to phone, it puts up a QR code, scan it with the IEM app and it should work AFAIK. The camera did sense it and both looked like they were doing something. And then, nothing.
What exactly are you trying to use the app for? I'll admit I used the predecessor app with my 6300 when I was doing train videos on a tripod with flash umbrellas etc so I could trigger the camera remotely. But otherwise I didn't personally find much use. I use my camera all the time. Video and photos to the internal card. Pop card out and stick it in the reader on the computer and import into my favorite software on the computer.

Finally got a bit of rain along the Front Range yesterday and a little more today. Trying to do a reverse mortgage on our house to tap some of the equity we've built up over the years. OMG the paperwork it takes! We used to joke about how you couldn't launch a rocket until the paperwork equaled same, but this is about as bad!

On a separate subject, our cable TV outfit is in a dispute with a major station ownership, so we can't get ABC or a local channel my wife and I like to watch. So will the cable outfit reduce our rates? Oh, no. The excuse as to why the cable company won't accept the offers to settle the contract with the station ownership is that it would result in increased rates for the consumer. Both have their creed, and it's all GREED!

Enough to make a gopher sick in his hole!

I am trying to avoid having to do that. The USB cable and the memory card have a limited amount of cycles. If I can transfer my photos and videos to my computer wirelessly, I can reduce that wear and tear.

Anyway, just came back from the NEX and I got a new camera. Getting ready to give it a try.
The lifetime of the memory card etc is probably ,much longer than you'd ever need. The memory card solution is much faster than trying to dump GB and GB of stuff to your phone or PC

Are you running this on your phone or on your PC? I assume you've seen this?

I owe you an adult beverage of your choice. The PlayMemories Home was the missing link. Once I connected the cam to the computer via USB and started the software, I was able to set up the wifi location on the camera and unplugged the camera, started the transfer from the phone an voila! It is currently transferring the files.

I was just about to tee off on the camera with a 5 iron.

Thanks!

Good morning gang!

51° under cloudy skies looking for a high today of 64°. Rain should start around 3 o’clock this afternoon with similar temps and rain through Saturday. Sunday will see the sun, but then Monday and Tuesday it’s back into the rain.
Great weather if you’re duck!
All this should supercharge the lawn, maybe I’ll need a New Holland hay baler by the following week.

Good morning all!

Happy Hump Day!

Currently its a cool 48F with an expected high of only 59. I see we had a stray shower come thru at some early this morning. The back
deck was wet when I let the dog out. Couldn't of been much, didn't even register in the rain gauge.

Not sure what today will bring, still way too early to tell. I'm sure something will crop up.

Still waiting for the coffee to kick in!

Have a safe day everyone!

As a professional photographer with over a decade in the digital wedding photo and portrait biz, your cards can handle the wear and tear. Replacing a cable every few years is good practice to get the latest speed upgrades.

I'm lazy too and use wifi to dump my images from my phone to cloud storage. Then download as needed. But when I pull out the Canon or the Fuji, I use a card reader cable and pop the card out. It's faster than the wifi connection.

well, howdy there internet peeps and those whose cables are are on the fritz.

It's Troy again.

If you're in the Midwest, and don't have a plastic bag filled with plastic bags, why are you in the midwest? That's part of the starter kit every midwesterner has to have in their home.

It's Laundry day today! (again). Wife gets her teeth polished this morning. Since the dentist is right next to Kroger (the grocery store), I'll drive her and do my monthly trip to Kroger. I stopped going there for weekly trips when they required pre-loading soda specials in their app. I didn't want to use the app, when I already had a nifty Kroger Customer card to scan, so I switched to another grocer. But, some things are only available there - like the Caffeine Free Diet Soda syrup for the wife's Soda Stream machine.

And, I noticed that Kroger switched back to "everyday low pricing" on the sodas, instead of having to pre-load it. But, I've already got my shopping habit changed.

I also need to call and cancel the Orkin contract for the Carpenter Ants.

I forgot what our coffee-shop pest inspector suggested for controlling them myself. Would you please remind me so I can add it to the hardware store list?

In writing news, I got 1600 words in this morning. About to the point where I'll reveal the murder victim. That always puts a damper on whatever celebrations are going on. But, the deceased really deserved it.

Good morning from my place! Gloomy looking outside with a decent chance of rain in the next couple of hours. Radar shows we are in the middle of a C formation on the weather pattern. So we should receive some of the rain. 55f degrees might be today’s high.

Watched the Stanley Cup playoffs last night. Haven’t missed a night or day of at least 2 games since they started. However I missed the third period of the first game I was watching as I nodded off. I did get 16 wire armatures done for 9” trees, the goal was 40! The modeler who was here to harvest trees off my layout asked if I’d sell more trees off the layout in a text this morning. He has some friends who helped him yesterday install the ones he purchased and they like them and the price. I really gave him a deal and I enjoy tree making but my time is limited the next few months so I need to think about my response

The grand daughter and her adaptive sports program for kids with special needs has a home whiffle ball game in the high school gym at 5:30pm.

The grandson cut the other 2 neighbors lawns after school yesterday. Says it went well and the batteries lasted. He said the grasses were not as thick as the 2 Sunday were. So the 2 new batteries were not needed yesterday. He did talk to a neighbor who has one of those robot lawn mowers. Rents it at +$200 per month and it keeps getting hung up on the lawn edging. The neighbor started the conversation with the grandson not knowing he was ours! The grandson says he walked the yard and gave him a price to think about! Grandson told me he can handle 6 yards alone before he’ll need to hire his buddies! Discussed having friends work for you generally is a bad idea as some cannot handle the arrangement. I told him 2 things break up friends, the opposite sex and money. Working for you is the money! He rode his bike over and was finishing the 2nd yard when we got home. Today after school and before his sister’s game he has to cut his own front yard. His dad will handle the acreage out back but the front yard is now his to do.

We saw MICHAEL the movie about Michael Jackson yesterday at 2pm. If you enjoyed his music definitely go see it. From his childhood to the Victory tour. There will be more parts coming.

Enjoy the day

Wow, didn’t realize plastic bag collection was a thing! We do a 2 bag collection thing. One for bags without holes and one for the bags with holes. Terry normally shops at 3 grocers. HyVee (a Midwest grocery chain) where the plastic bags are an excellent thickness and the baggers do not overload them. Pick and Save (owned now by Kroger) where the bags are thin and cheap but it’s mostly self service now so I rarely rip a bag because I put so few groceries in them. Festival Foods (was until recently a Wisconsin family owned chain) used to be a great bag but the ownership change also affected the bags. Cheap and now super thin. These generally end up with holes in them and become bags for recycling items to be recycled. We have 3 other locally owned grocers in our 5 mile radius not including Aldi’s (bring ur own) and they are great bags but rarely do we go there

I need a life don’t I?
