Why would you pay $75.50 for a $3.50 item? I can't see any sort of cash assortment where that works where you couldn't have just left part of it out. $5 is. $5 bill or a collection of $1 or $1 and $2 bills or coins. So just pay $5.50...

Anyway. It is cool to find old receipts and stuff and marvel at times past. I sometimes find old papers of mine in a box which are a decade or three old and contain old receipts or pay slips etc.

Probably store credit or payment for a consignment sale.

St. Louis is a mess tonight with inbound traffic. There is a line of thunderstorms passing over St. Louis as I write this, and the screenshot is within a minute or two.

All aircraft with a line behind it are all inbound to St. Louis and nearly everyone is being placed in a hold south of the airport.

Now the controller has sent a couple of aircraft to the QBALL intersection to hold on a radial off the Cape Girardeau VOR. There are two more approaching from the south on the QBALL arrival that are not in the picture and have already been told to hold.

One that was holding north left for Louisville because of fuel and flew right over the house at FL18500. I could hear him as he passed over.

Just finished a meeting with the house maker. It's our 15th year and they have a maintenance schedule that we should keep to in order to continue with the house warranty. This includes resealing, cleaning the walls and roof, repainting the walls, roof, and trim. I asked for a clear seal on the walls so that we can keep the fake brick look. I also remembered to go for a lighter colored roof vice the dark green that it is currently. Lighter color roof to hopefully reflect and not absorb some of that heat, esp. summer time.

With all the scaffolding, materials and labor, it'll be about $17K total. Gotta luv the yen rate. Going to the bank tomorrow.

But, right before she came, we lost power to the whole neighborhood, then it came back, died again, came back and died again. I shut all of my power strips off on the 2nd outage as this up and down cr@p is what blows sh!t up. I left it all off while we had our meeting and just brought it all back up since power had been stable for at least 30 mikes. If the refer blew up, the power company would have received a bill.

I need to find our UPS thread and try to remember what was best as I really need to get off my duff and get one.

Looks like some weather rolling by.

And lots of it. A Southwest flight is attempting an approach and is out of the hold heading north. A small business jet left the hold and made it into St. Louis Downtown Parks.

There are still a lot of Southwest jets inbound coming up the QBALL arrival. Everyone of them is holding. Now the controller is having them hold on the Cape Girardeau VOR farther south.

I think Louisville is going to get jammed up if they keep diverting St. Louis flights over there. UPS is just starting their busy time inbound and outbound.

The Southwest flight made it in. Another Southwest jet left the hold for Louisville. Was going to Nashville, but company said Louisville.

Weather rolled by here about an hour ago. Thunder, lightning a little rain and some small hail. That might be what's hitting Michael. Looks like less than .25" in the gauge from my viewpoint on the porch. Don't feel like putting my shoes back on just to walk out and check.

Yep, the same system. It finally started raining here a minute or two ago. This is from what went through St. Louis that caused all of the delays.

They started to pull them from the holds and route them around the west side of the airport to land on 24 to parallel the storm line without getting in it. After three landings, the rest of the pack started in. I believe it was around six more flights and were routed to 30L&R after the line moved farther east (towards me). Everyone made it in except for the two that diverted earlier that were low on gas.

@Kusojiji I dealt with many child abusers/killers over the years. They are vicious, but hide it behind a human mask. They are truly frightening.
George, congrats on you and Murphy. It is a nice thing for my day to see such good news.
Anyway I have most of the mechs ready for tomorrow, a couple may barely fall into the 3 paint rule, but they will be usable.

I need this primarily for the NAS since it holds all of my data. The APC will send a shutdown command to the NAS for a controlled shutdown vice a crash like it has been doing.

Good morning all!

A very stormy night last nigh. We had 2 thunderstorms roll thru the area. First one was around 10pm. Very high winds, heavy rain, and lots of thunder. The second was at 2am with more heavy rain and thunder. Not a lot of wind with that one. It wasn't expected to be sever since the warnings all expired at midnight.

Currently its 59F. The rain has moved to the east and we should expect partly sunny skies later with a high of 77F humid degrees.

Not much going on for today. do have a load or 2 of laundry to get done, Nothing much else planned.

Coffee is ready and waiting!
