I have a Tsunami 2 decoder (diesel) that when activated shows a steady red light on the board. It does not show the blue light indicating track power. According to the Soundtraxx manual it says "The (red) fault light is connected in series with the decoder’s FX6 output (F27 by default) and will illuminate in a steady “on” state when that function is on. This is not an error code but can be used to check for proper operation of the fault light on a decoder". I'm not sure what they mean. When the function is on? What function? Check for proper operation of the fault light?? What operation?? I have the decoder wired correctly according to the decoder instructions and in fact have wired a number of Soundtraxx decoders with complete success operating. But I have not experienced a solid red light. My command power is the DCS-50, the locomotive is an Athearn BB and I have JMRI installed.
Any suggestions please. Thanks for reading.
