Programming on main with Digitrax DCS210+

Trying to calibrate the DDE exhaust on the mainline and when I try to read the value of a CV Im getting a message that reads "Not configured for Loco OPS mode read back modules". No problem programming on the program track. Im using my wireless handheld. Do I need to plug it directly to the CS? Thanks in advance.

OPS mode is write-only.
