How do you handle uncoupling the cars on the layout?

How do you handle uncoupling the cars on the layout?

I do it manually. I steadily lift the end of a car and back it up a little and set it down. Kind of funky, but I found it works best for me.

When I got back from my camping trip I decided to take a little break.

I spent 4 days camping in the Boundary Waters Wilderness, weather was perfect and the solitude helped to give me a pause on life.

I had magnets on an old layout, too much screwing around. All my turnouts are manual so my fingers are on the layout anyway.

The short answer is no.

Possibly crawling in to rest his bones. I fear a life of wrestling the steering wheel and shifter on uncountable rigs and weathering numerous snowstorms and potholes has gotten the best of him.
