Some of my favorite box cars and a few lumber loads, to boot!

I have 2 of these 50' NP box cars, the other one is by the sawmill, visible in a previous post. I used think these were modern but they were present even in the 1920's. They carried large and bulky freight, such as buggies and autos. The ends can swing open as well.

Out In The Country.

Musgrave of Armley freight wagon. Saw this wagon in my local model railway store. A model correct to timeframe and area I am modelling.

Great scene, the "freight wagon " something like what we call a gondola.

I assume tare would be the tare wt. 7.2.2 must be-how many kilos?

Funny that we also use the term tare predominately in the trucking industry, but our old freight cars say "empty wt"

Thank you for posting!

Thank you for your comments, Dave.
What you call a gondola is a open wagon here.
How many kilos? I am too old to work out such stuff. 7.2.2 is heavy.🤣
