Mike - your rock work is exquisite, Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks Dave!

I almost gave up on doing rock faces. It was extremely frustrating in the beginning. Don't know how many pounds of plaster and hydrocal went in the garbage doing experiments then ripping it out to try again.

Going to be lots of this kind of scenery on the present layout.

I can't believe you dumped a bridge like that. Maybe you could have reused it in your new layout since you pointed out that it was too big for N gauge.
Kind of dumb eh?

Considering how many hours went into it. I learned a lot by building it, so it wasn't a total loss!

I'm sure still have many more bone-headed things to accomplish in this hobby. the list goes on and on! :D

she must have some steady hands, maybe a future surgeon or dentist?

I won't even let my wife fiddle with my little stuff in fear she will knock a bunch of it off kilter (it has happened)

To confess here, I have made a couple boo boos myself while moving the vehicles or inhabitants of the layout around.

THANKS for sharing!!!!

When I first let the grandchildren 'run trains' I was prepared for little hands causing some damage.

Who broke the dock wall? Who broke the fencing? Who knocked chimneys off buildings? etc. etc. etc. 🫣 😧

The scenery is safer with the children in charge.

It's a mack. Not sure which one. It came as a kit. I assembled it back in 2014.

I really liked that one, it shows up in several photos from my previous layout.

Thats "the" Mack from my dad. He built this back in the 90ies all by him self. first it was a dumper truck without sleeper. its also a type R Mack. he built it off from a picture from a road train from australia. and it was the only one in switzerland, he won several prizes at truck shows all over europe :) unfortunately he lost it in a fire when hes workshop burnt down, he lost hes truck and 40 motorcycles.. but he always told me, you have to see the positive, if i die you dont have to deal with all this old stuff :P
