Willie I’ve never asked how big is your train shed? I’ve been seriously thinking of getting a shed and move the Layouts in it.

I built an overall shed of 20' x 40'. However one end 8' x 20' is meant as a shop/storage area and is separate from the main 20' x 32' train room, both with separate entrances. Building under construction, 2010.

Those are cut from dead twigs found on the bottom of our smaller Jack pine trees. I rub the dry bark off with my fingers, and use a pruning shears to cut them to length.

Recently our older granddaughter brought part of garden railway to our house. She has an American themed layout where she lives. Her locomotives are battery powered; ideal for outside running.
