hey ho lets go!

past weekend i had some time for my layout! well for both of them. but i think the H0 Layout had the biggest update. So lets start with the Industry in section D. I did a little expansion, why? because i can or i need. because of the expansion of the "platform" i will now be able to make a car park and set up trucks that are loading or unloading there goods. also i can make a part of a street crossing over all tracks at the end of the board.

Aria (the queen of the house) approved the bigger space to sit on.

my next project was to expand my 90' bridge. i took a small piece from Evergreen and glued it in place. after coloring and glueing the bridge back together its not really visible. and it will be the backside, so it wont be seen at all. but it gives my track more room and also the locos and freight cars.

and then i startet to get together my big industrie building that i will place at the backdrop. here i added a selfmade wall section on the left side of the building. this had to be done because the building will not be placed straight at the backdrop.

this thing looks so huge, i like it so far. now i will add some details on this side of the building. some pipes and ACs are the plan. then weathering the whole building. iam also thinking about building at least some floors and interior. maybe also lights? what i can tell, on the roof there will be a "shed" or utility room for AC stuff or how its called, and there will be some graffiti on it, so my graffiti artists will have a spot ;)

well thats it from the weekend.

cheers

what up forum peeps

i can finally say, the disc golf (tournament) season is over. so that means, more free weekends what also means, more time for modelrailroading. so the past few days there was not really progress on my layout, but i started with a "side" project (you cant have enough projects i guess).

iam building a "small" diorama where i will test different things, like ballasting and detailing the roadbed. also i will try to do more work with my laser cutter, so i will ad a industrie building in the back. but why? Well i need a programmer track for my locomotives. so i though about making a diorama.

and here you see the actual progress after yesterda evening :D

Picture1.jpg

i will only power one track, the other is just for aesthetics for the diorama :)

howdi peeps

well this past weekend i had some time, almost 95% where spent on this track section (or maybe technical diorama). so here is a "step by step" for you.

after gluing the track i did mask off the rails so i could try to weather the track with my airbrush.

IMG_8651.JPG

i think that worked out pretty nice. but after talking to some people, i would not doit again. why? if i dont maks the rails, some of the paint/rust would also be added to the track itself, would maye look evan better. but i still can add some light rust afterwards (will do it for shure).

IMG_8652.JPG

afterwards, i started ballasting both tracks.

IMG_8653.JPG

after a night of drying out. i added some green to the scene, i also did try my first addition of static gras, turned out not that bad i think. but still can be improved, but iam learning you know.

IMG_8663.JPG

after cleaning everything, this was what it looks like:

IMG_8665.JPG

i like it so far. so i let everything dry.
so i could work on some industry building fronts or better so called backs, for the backdrop buildings.
i draw them in lightburn, and sent the file to my laser cutter. the 3rd try was great and thats how it looks now:

IMG_8662.JPG

now iam gluing it together and than adding some paint and weathering. the second building i will add is just one big back of a storage building nothing fancy, but still some added details.

wish you all a great start for the week!
Cheers

hi all

this weekend i was building my next industry building. i first did draw it in lightburn and then laser it on my S1.
after gluing all together i saw some rookie mistakes haha, but overall i think it was a great build.

IMG_8695.JPG

So i did place it on my programmertrack "Diorama". and i think it fits. Now i have to add some colors to those two buildings.
I also added another detail to the other building. but didnt took a picture, this building has now a rooftopp over the loading dock.

howdi folks

here is another update from last weekend. i had some time to build, so section B is now all wired up and rdy. i also did some test runs and so far it works. that means, for now all track is down and installed. so Section B, C and D is "done". Section A still hast to be built completely, but for now i think i have enough space to fill with landscape and more.

hey forum folks

well here is a "lil" update from my layout :)
I had some time in my layout room between christmas and new year.

IMG_8860.JPG

first i painted the cargo area in front of the loading dock. thats just the first coat to see if it works. maybe i will have to sand it again, from this angle it looks a bit weird but if your looking from another angle you dont see this pattern.

IMG_8887.JPEG

than i started adding some sculptamold around the mainline.
yes the landscaping part has started woohoo!

also in section C i started to build some ground structure. i used a technique that i saw by a modelrailroader iam following on instagram (bnsfuprailroader) hes a great builder maybe some of you know him, hes from germany.

and this is after applying some plaster sheets. next will be adding some more stuff to carf out rocks and stuff.
