The trains are first shown at 7:00. First one looks like an undercoated Lionel diesel of some sort pushing a boxcar. Then Davey climbs into an NB refrigerator car and gets trapped inside. The steam engine pulling the train Davey hops on first appears at 7:54, and is also clearly seen again at 12:15. Looks like a Lionel 2-6-2 PRR locomotive of some sort (many of the Gumby episodes of this time also used that same model locomotive, too.)
 
I see two rail operation. My guess is American Flyer late 50's. The 2035 is a Lionel Number but the first picture shoes a turbine style motor behind a panel 7.59. My AF's have that type of motor. The Lionel Turbines do not have the rod setup shown8.44. To me, the diesel nose isn't round enough for Lionel.At 8.09 the coupler looks flat not like a Lionel brand. I do not have an AF knuckle coupler to compare.

I found thr NB car in AF not to say it wasn't made by Lionel too.
