l thought long and hard about DCC for this layout and after thinking about it at this time l'm not interested. What l would like to do is just used the atlas selector and controllers, but l can't figure out the wiring? Like where l should put gaps, blocks, etc. So if there is anyone out there that can help my out with this please let me know.
Thanks
First thing you need to do is draw your proposed layout with some tools. Either with a template or with some sort of track software. This will show you if your layout will actually work. Curve radius and turnouts are critical when plotting them and this will show you if your planned yard area will actually work, and consequently the rest of the layout as well.
From there you can figure out just how much track work you can realistically have.
There are other things to consider like reach distances.
Help us out here. What are the specs to your layout and available room?
