Hello,

I'm new to model railroading and I'm interesting in N scale. I've been purchasining Kato N scale track and some of their locomotives and rolling stock as well as an Atlas loco and rolling stock and Micro Trains rolling stock. I've also gotting AnyRail and have been playing around with layouts. I'm looking to build a layout that is interesting enough to run passenger and freight at the same time (some kind of dual track setup) in a DCC configuration. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be reading a lot of post and will be asking question. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time and I finally have some time to put to the hobby.

Welcome, you'll find lots of friendly and helpful people on here and plenty of ideas to read through. Sounds like you've got the "germ" of an idea of what you want. I would suggest trying to work in some switching operation/s into your track plan to add interest. I must admit I quite like the idea of trains circulating around while engaged in that activity. Nothing wrong with a bit of railfanning at the same time.
