The magazine has been doing this in every April edition for as long as I can remember. This one was in the new product announcement section. Last year they had a magnetic layout that ran on the ceiling. I thought they were both pretty funny (and also pretty phony).
 
Being new to the hobby, less than a year now, when I saw the article in the magazine I of course bought it hook line and sinker. I didn't even catch the SeLF (SLF) Industries bit. At first all I could think of was all the money I had invested in Digitrax controllers and decoders for locomotives.
Kind of a relief when I found out it was a joke.

This is not really a "new" system. I was using a very similar operating system 50 years ago with my old Lionel trains. The new sound is definately better though........ :rolleyes:
