After having acquired a TSU-1000 (light logging) sound decoder in a trade I decided to install it in my On30 Bachmann Shay. Unfortunately, the TSU-1000 is too big to fit anywhere in the Shay as it was, so I decided to completely scratch build the back end and cab so that it can fit the decoder and speaker. Here are a couple of shots of the end result.

The only thing I have left to put on is the bell and whistle rope. The engine runs well and sounds great! Now I just need to find a good engineer figure to stand in the cab.

Hi Buffalo Bill,
That a nice rebuild, Bachmann sure has some neat stuff in ON30 alright.

As far as figures, take a look at Woodland Scenics 'O' scale, I think you'll be pleased.
I'm a dealer for them so if I can help you let me know as I have some good prices.
