That sliding door is getting replaced on Friday… finally!

Today I painted a little track. I think I may try some gray on the ties too. Don’t worry I won’t post every time I paint a little track but I did today because it’s been so long since I’ve done anything

Two turnouts arrived yesterday! I marked the area where I need to cut roadbed and foam for switch machines.

I also posted this to show how I use WS 2% incline risers to transition from roadbed to “ground” level (I will cover with plaster cloth). I’m sure there’s a less expensive way but I had a box that I didn’t plan to use for anything else

Started one of the two staging yards (each will be two tracks which hold 9-10 cars each).

Also got plaster cloth over the transition from roadbed to “ground level”. I think it will be ok after ballast and ground cover.

Finally, even though I have a lot of track work to do, I started ballasting.

Haven't updated this thread in a couple of months. Lots of stuff going on but I've managed to keep doing little things on the layout from time to time.

Things are relatively calm this weekend so I got some trackwork and wiring done. The first of two arrival/departure tracks is done and the second is almost done. I know the track is about as straight as nothing but I'll tweak that before I glue it. This is the beginning of Meridian Yard which will be the heart of operations on my layout.

Hmm... couldn't upload pics. I can try using my phone but they'll probably be sideways. I'm not good with computer stuff :(.
