Modern Chicago SS/South Bend passenger cars?

[dekker]

I posted last week asking if anyone makes the 60-70's era CSS/SB passenger cars in plastic and as I figured no one offers them. Does any company offer the modern day passenger cars they run? Thanks.

About the closest thing I have seen that looks like a CSS&SB modern car is one of these...

One could shave those things off the top, add pantographs, and some paint and they'd look ok.

Another idea is to hack appart a Walthers Horizon passenger car, which is also similar...
