MDF & scratchbuilding ?

Looking at using MDF for scratch building some warehouses. Have used it before, known to accept paint my ? is has anyone used for walls and then applyied CA or thicker adhesives to attach differing siding sections from Evergreen (etc). My concern is MDF is it may not be long lasting. Certainly don't want it bubbling up or peeling off. I see it as a great option as it cuts smooth, very rigid with bracing and is simple and very cost effective. Did the search and didn't see anything, thank you

yes, and to be clear when I mean peeling off, talking about the siding peeling off the MDF

Contact or maybe rubber cement might be better, the MDF soaks up superglue and superglue also doesn’t stick that well to styrene without some sanding to rough it up.

I’ve made larger scale things from MDF and then sealed it with CA and sanded it smooth. I needed a 1/5 scale rolling garbage can and used that process to make vacuum forming bucks.

I use cardboard for lots of my buildings. Cereal boxes to be exact, reinforced with scale lumber and oftentimes sided with Chooch products or Northeastern Scale Lumber sheathing products. Easily takes glue and paint.

If you look at my thread "Daves Layout V. 4.0" there are several scratch build recreations I have put together.

Not sure how big you are going, TomO on this forum makes vary large pulp mill type buildings, I think he uses styrene?
