GD 26? Let's see some pics!
These are my most recent photos of it. I haven't taken any since I put the new motor in, but I probably should, since I touched up the paint and added some detail work.

Yup, I found pics of 217 and it is a very close match. Probably was renumbered into the 6200s.
That's exactly what happened. I have a book on UP locomotives, and they added a 6 in front of the original number on that series towards the end of their service lives. I guess PFM went with that number when they marketed the models because they probably figured it would still be fresh in people's minds at that time.

This is the first and last time for CN 8004 a Sd70Ace to appear on the Wisconsin River Valley & Terminal RR. Tomorrow the journey to the CarCo shops outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma begins. It will be transformed into the 1st 6 axle motor for the Wisconsin Interstate by Sammy Carlile

The unit was picked up at Hiawatha Hobbies this past week

Let’s shuffle some cars around the yard

Long time, no see.

My friends are bad influences and one of them sold me a BLI Northern Pacific A3, 4-8-4. I played with the idea of building a passenger train for it but only recently have I started trying to collect one. I have a couple cars already, but of note are these two Atlas 10-1-1 sleepers I ordered from Lombard last week. Just need to find a few coaches and gather a bunch of express freight & mail type stuff, and I'll have a 1947 Alaskan (Later renamed Mainstreeter).

Also got this NP color guide book a couple weeks ago, definitely a must-have for me for a bunch of reasons.

Nice! Very nice!👍

Picked this up recently, spares or repair.

Ex Florida East Coast

Smoke coming from interior, (DC blanking plate) rear ditch light housings missing, broken and bent guardrails and a missing shade over the cab.

Up and running apart from the shade.

(Sorry, not paying $20 in postage for a small bottle of paint I'll only use once. Plus, I have no idea what shade of blue it is, seems to be metallic.

I was in Edison, NJ today at a large Greenberg train show. One stand had extremely rare early Mantua 2-8-0 model representing Reading Railway engine. I don't think the seller knew exactly what he was selling as the price was $45. After negotiation i paid $35 for it. Mantua came up with these models in 1937-1938 time frame and they are hard to find, it was in fact the first time i saw one.

As can be seen, the value gear is totally messed up on it, maybe the driving wheels slipped on the axles and caused broken and bent rods. It will be a fun project for the evening.
