Not to hijack the thread, but the secret to good running well cars is weight. Add weight to the lower container at the least. I glue pennies in , but I already have them.

Many of those well cars are the new Walthers, all metal well cars. Same with the spine cars. All metal Bowser units and all of them have metal wheels.

You're not kidding, that IS a long intermodal! It reminds me of the ones I see the UP rolling through here in Rawlins, WY. all the time.

The problem with running trains this long is, when I'm working on a project at the desk and one of those trains rolls by that part of the layout, I have to stop my work and watch it go by.

The other problem with running the well cars is they sit so low your track needs to be level. Which mine isn't sadly
