Hi, started a small Logging Layout in HOn30 and got a bit sidetracked. I fell in love withg log Loaders, line Loaders Yarders and log Trucks...
so I started building away...What I love most, the majority of equipment used is in some way field modified or even shop build...plus the fact that this equipment is used for long times, one can cover various periods....Everything is Kit bashed...I have a large collection of equipment pictures and just try to capture the essence and not build an original to the T...

Hi, thanks for your interest and kind words....Here is a line loader with super snorkel...or at least close in length to one....It is one of the first Logging models I build.
The grapple is not yet attached since I have not yet decided where exactly the machine will be placed...
for reference, the Snorkel is 48 scale ft long, the total boom and snorkel comes to 77 scale ft.
I used some printed track that was in single track links....no fun and it did not come out the way intended. Once i decide where to place it on the layout I will do some more detailing....
Just in case someone is interested in the true size of the Super Snorkels....
A new Line Loader in the works....this one with a 30 scale ft snorkel....
Have not decided yet if it will be on Tracks, Wheel Chassis or on a Truck Crane Chassis...
The upper again a HINZE 57 mix....ESPEWE UB 80 as a base ...cut up ...seriously modified Hinge boom from Clever Creek Build Shop, and a cab from the Model Mechanic....

there is some really interesting an crazy stuff out there. that is why I love it......
Some asked me to post pictures of the build...so here is the beginning of the boom.
On the right side are the parts as I got them from Clever Creek , The Hinge boom and the Tower.....
On the left is the modified boom, turned in to a heel boom and the modified tower adapted for the heel boom with the snorkel....
