Here is the classic 1957 Gumby episode "Train Trouble," which prominently features two model trains in it. One is some kind of 0-4-0 HO-scale steam locomotive; IDK what company it is. The other I DO know what it is; it's an O-scale 2-6-4 post-war Lionel steam locomotive! (The cab number is 2035, which proves it is indeed a Lionel model.)

In this, the trains have minds of their own, and can carry their tracks wherever they go! For some reason it looks like they put the Lionel train on an S-gauge track section, judging by how it has two rails (but then again, this was all animated by stop-motion, so it makes sense.)

There were quite a few other episodes featuring the Lionel 2035, but this was its debut appearance on the show. (Previous episodes mainly used Marx trains, then they switched to Lionel and American Flyer for the most part.)

I remember watching that one, thanx for reminding me how old I'm getting!
By the way, that's how we walk in Manitoba in the winter!

Bummer - clicked on the link an a message came up on Youtube saying 'sorry but the video has been removed by the user'. I do remember watching Gumby though back in the day. Interesting Lionel calls this a Pacific when a true Pacific was a 4-6-2. A 2-6-4 was a Prairie which was the wheel arrangement, IIRC, on the Lady Lionel original set.
