They won't be putting the money into it to get it into running order if the interest is for the short period being claimed. I could be wrong, though...maybe its strictly time-limited, a one-shot deal to take effect only during an important event, say a couple of running years during an important anniversary.
 


From the TO post - Aren't the FT and E8 heading to Spencer, NC (museum) for the Streamliner showcase special this weekend?? There are supposed to be about 25 E and F units there as well as N&W 611.

Next weekend is the event but the movements of F & E units are happening all week &611 is leaving today
