Lake Question

I built a pretty fair sized lake. Im curious what color(s) are generally used for the bottom of a lake of varying depths

Camper:

I would paint the edges a earth or sand color ad blend into a dark blue or black for the center or deepest portion of the lake. Add some detail to the bottom for more realism like old barrels, dead fall, pallets, etc.

Yep this is what worked for me and don't forget to use some real sand in the water around the shores.

Agreed with the above, sand colors to greens to blues and black for the very deepest parts.
