i love it! and i have a turn table i can use on it! i might need to make it a little smaller though.

That is a lot of track in a small space. It is very close to the edges. The turntable is small for the steamers you were looking at in the other thread. I would drop off some sidings and get rid of the reverse loops. Just an opinion.

i would redo a lot of it, but i like the way it all works.

Some changes have occurred, as I only used the Atlas turntable (my only option in that program) as a point of reference. I have the Walther's 90' and looking at the new DCC 130' if I can talk the financier into it. The track is also further in from the edges than represented here. I've been running it for about a month (version 11 of my layouts) and I'm quite happy with it.

Nice layout plan Ian!!! LOL

I don't think there's too much track, there's plenty of room for scenery too.

Here's a plan I have been working on. The layout is only 10'x5'. Currently in HO scale the blue is Standard Gauge and the Purple is HOn30. There is one small strip of dual-gauge at the top right at a freight depot. The idea is that the narrow gauge line delivers aggregates .. which give a reason for it's existence in 1929. A set of sector plates is used as a fiddle yard which are represented at the bottom left.

Still too much track I think .. since I am more inclined toward scenery and scratch-building then operation as in a switching layout.

In any case .. that's what I have been playing around with in XTrackCAD
