I am modelling the L&N in the 1960 to1970 era roughly and was wondering did the L&N have their own tanker cars. I hope this is the correct place to ask the question
 
As a matter of fact,they did. One example is L&N 40911, used to haul Diesel fuel.Two other cars L&N #40959 and L&N 40965 were used for Pollution control cars. The L&N 40959 tank car was a former GATX car,car number 34343. Tank car L&N 40965 came from a group of cars that were assigned to the Monon. I hope this helps. William.
